Party: Cambridge Satchel Company’s London Store

On Wednesday night I went to a party that was fun, chic and uber-friendly, which I find is becoming a rarity and it was all down to the amazing Cambridge Satchel Company who were celebrating their debut store in Covent Garden.

Located in the cool Seven Dials area, on Short Gardens, I do love wandering through this area at the boutique sized stores, and this gorgeous handbag brand is the perfect addition. The store itself is incredible, it literally has ever colour imaginable on display from wintry Ox Blood, which apparently is one of the best sellers, to vibrant neon shades for summer and girlie pastel colours, that I adore and basically every colour of the rainbow and it was heavenly.

As well as gushing over which colour I wanted to buy next, I already have a neon pink and a pastel pink version, the store also launched its ‘Bloggers Lounge’, which the brand has done as a thank you to the bloggers who catapulted the brand to the dizzy heights we see now – how nice is that. So bloggers will be able to connect to the WiFi, grab a cuppa, and even borrow a bag – I have my eye on a cobalt blue one – basically a place for bloggers to hangout.

As well as great company, music from DJs including Sophie Ellis Bextor, one of the best bits other than the incredible chocolates, the chunks of cheese, and the bubble had to be these cute Cambridge Satchel shaped jellies – too cute to eat – my favourite was the glittery version.

If you haven’t got a Cambridge Satchel yet, why not, but want to check them out in person than buy them online, now you can – head on down to the friendly shop in Covent Garden and let me know which colour you buy!!!

Beauty: A Look Inside The New Chanel Pop-up

Calling all beauty-o-holics – Chanel’s beauty pop-up in Covent Garden has officially opened!!! Yesterday, I got a sneak peek and OMG it is incredible – of course the majority of the colour scheme is black and white, a given really, but I loved that they’ve added a hint of pink with their glowing iconic locking C’s in the window, as well as gorgeous colourful displays of nail varnish and lippy decorating the boutique.

The pop-up boutique, which will be pride and place in the centre of Covent Garden until December, is basically just a one-stop shop for all things Chanel – whether you are after one of their iconic lipsticks, or fancy getting your nails painted, which is only £20 and redeemable against a purchase. Or how about getting a full make-over from one of the Chanel artists, or pick out a new fragrance – I totally recommend Coco Mademoiselle – seriously, this boutique is going to become one of your favourite places.

The launch was amazing, I was treated to a makeover – yes I was made to look beautiful *see below*, shown how to do my very own couture nail art *more coming on that soon*, as well as a performance from a Chanel-clad mime artist – Chanel really did think of everything, oh and they even have their own fleet of taxi’s which have been decorated in a pantone of Chanel colours.

Also don’t forget to register on the new Chanel at Covent Garden microsite as the French brand have lots of surprises coming up – including a packed agenda including live beauty and nail art demonstrations.

Beauty: Chanel Popping Up In Covent Garden

It seems everyone wants a piece of the pop-up action ahead of the increased number of tourists heading to London for the Olympic Games – we’ve already seen the opening of H&M’s new sportswear pop-ups, Liberty London opened a satellite site opposite the Olympic Park, and even a Karl Lagerfeld pop-up is coming to Selfridges next week, well the one I am most excited about has to be Chanel’s first ever UK beauty and fragrance pop-up – complete with a Chanel nail bar **cue the screams**!!!

Coming July 24, Chanel’s beauty pop-up will open in the heart of Covent Garden – yes you don’t have to trawl all the way over to Westfield Stratford, and when I say in the heart I literally mean it, the pop-up will be opening in the iconic Piazza market building – I can’t think of a better venue.

There will two floors filled full of Chanel’s exquisite collections from nails – I am so hoping that they can do my nails like the ones done for the Couture show, as well as fragrances, skincare and the make-up lines. Plus as well as all that I hear that there will be exclusive products and a packed agenda including live beauty and nail art demonstrations. Yes, you will be able to learn from the Chanel experts.

Anyone else excited? I have pencilled in July 24 into my diary, but also head on over to the pop-up’s dedicated website www.chanelatcoventgarden.com, complete with a very chic Chanel countdown clock and a ‘Stay Informed’ button!!!

Shoes n Sunnies: TOMS Opens Pop-Up In London

Yesterday, I was invited to the launch of charitable footwear brand TOMS pop-up store in Covent Garden, London, and it is one of the most adorable and compact shop I have ever seen. The concept store will only open for two months but it will definitely make an impact, I love everything about how they’ve designed the store, featuring images of their charity work, inspiring slogans, and of course showcasing their very quirky shoes and their amazing fairly new eyewear collections.

Located at 69 Neal Street this pop-up will be very popular, not only is the spring/summer shoe collection very strong, it isn’t all about the classic slipper styles, TOMS has really expanded its reach and the wedges and flats are so cute and perfect for summer. The new styles still have the TOMS vibe though with quirky prints and cool soles that have the ‘One for One’s slogan on them.

Plus you have to swing by just to try on the sunglasses, which I am in love with, there are six styles and in true TOMS fashion, for every pair purchased, TOMS will help give sight to a person in need, One for One, which is another reason to get behind such an inspirational brand.

As well as selling shoes and sunnies, TOMS has also turned the basement level into a creative hub, which of course I totally had to try so I customised my very own t-shirt and combined Barbie and TOMS, it was so much fun.

The TOMS pop up store will be open at 69 Neal Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9PJ until June 28, and opening hours will be Monday to Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 10am – 8pm and Sunday 11am – 6pm.
