Christmas Windows: A Trip Down London’s Bond Street

I love Christmas and one of my favourite activities is to wander around London and check out all the amazing window displays. I love how retailers always step up their creativity and this year is no exception. I will be bringing you the wonders of the department stores such as SelfridgesLiberty London and Harrods, but first I wanted to take you on a trip down London’s Bond Street and bring you my favourite festive displays from the likes of Mulberry, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany’s, and Cartier who have literally wrapped up their store.

Tiffany & Co:

One of the most enchanting windows has to be from Tiffany’s, the master of romance have produced doll-sized windows celebrating the magic of the season, centred around ‘My True Love Gave To Me’. Basically this is a look inside the perfect Tiffany & Co town house – starting with the Tiffany blue door to the striking chandelier, and the grand entrance. I think Barbie would definitely approve!!!

Ralph Lauren:

Next up is a white Christmas courtesy of Ralph Lauren, who have dressed their windows in a dramatic winter wonderland full of glamour – and while taking the pictures I was even treated to a choir singing Christmas carols – very festive.

Mulberry has gone all gold, scattering its windows with oversized padlocks, keys and Christmas cards to place inside the Mulberry postbox.

One of the highlights of my Bond Street wander had to be the Fenwick windows, which were dark, sparkly and very different – I loved the Gothic edge and how the clothes and accessories reflected in the wall covered baubles.

Do you love taking in Christmas windows while shopping? Let me know if you have seen any special as I love hunting down creative displays. For more pictures head on over to my Facebook page where I have added more of my trip down London’s Bond Street.

Twilight – Breaking Dawn Part 2: Kristen Stewart In Zuhair Murad

Who: Kristen Stewart

Where: At the Los Angeles premiere of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California

Wearing: A nude strapless Zuhair Murad gown featuring lace and chiffon panelling and a corseted bodice from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, teamed with a Cartier bracelet

Verdict: I was expecting something short, black, and tight, not feminine, romantic and sexy, and while I love the colour, the silhouette of the gown, and that she stepped out of her comfort zone I am just not loving this look a 100%.

For me this gown would have been perfection if the skirt had a light layer underneath, everything about this gown is divine, I just can’t help but think the nude is a little too much – what do you think?

What I do absolutely adore about this look has to be her old Hollywood-inspired hair, her side-swept locks makes such a statement and her bold lippy is just divine.

What do you think of Kristen’s look?

The Amazing Spider-Man: Emma Stone In Chanel

Who: Emma Stone

Where: At the LA premiere for her new movie The Amazing Spider-Man

Wearing: A short-sleeved white Chanel dress with burgundy velvet embroidered flowers on the bodice and shoulders from the Resort 2012/3 collection, teamed with a peek-a-boo tulle underlay, silver spiked Christian Louboutin heels with ankle straps and Cartier jewellery

Verdict: Coming to the end of her world tour for Spider-Man, Emma really has pulled out all the stops wearing a gorgeous tuxedo-style jumpsuit by Elie Saab, a sexy Gucci gown, a stunning Bottega Veneta gown with a striking peplum waist, and a delicate embroidered Dolce & Gabbana dress, so it was only fair that Chanel got a look in!!!

I am not sure if this is my favourite of the looks, the Elie Saab and the Dolce & Gabbana were amazing, and come on the black Gucci gown was incredible, but this is gorgeous and elegant, while still showcasing her fun personality perfectly. I think you will all agree this has been a very successful promo tour for Emma in the fashion stakes.

People Like Us: Elizabeth Banks Sparkles In Elie Saab

Who: Elizabeth Banks

Where: At the screening of “People Like Us” in New York City

Wearing: A nude, fully embroidered Elie Saab halterneck cocktail dress, with an open back, from the autumn/winter 2012 ready-to-wear collection, teamed with Pierre Hardy strappy heels, an Edie Parker clutch, and jewellery by Cartier

Verdict: This her second look from the Elie Saab autumn/winter 2012 collection, I loved her jumpsuit that she wore to the MTV Movie Awards, but this cocktail dress is just flawless. I love the halterneck style on Elizabeth, but what makes this fully embellished dress shine for me has to be the glittering metallic ombré effect – simply gorgeous.

I love that she didn’t do too much with her accessories both the clutch and heels matched perfectly, I especially love the triple gold and nude strap heels by Pierre Hardy.

As always I am blown away by Elizabeth from head-to-toe, her dress is divine, her accessories are perfection, and her make-up and hair is flawless. LOVE it all.

Met Gala 2012: January Jones In Atelier Versace

Who: Mad Men’s January Jones

Where: At the 2012 Met Gala in New York

Wearing: A custom strapless yellow Atelier Versace gown with mirror panels to the bustier and structured detailing to the hips, teamed with a stunning Cartier necklace

Verdict: OMG, this is one stunning dress, not only because of the colour, which is divine, but because of the detailing, this is couture at its very best and I love it. When being interviewed, January said that she loved to wear avant-garde when she can and I can see why, especially when Versace make a dress especially for you. In another colour this dress wouldn’t have been as sticking, but in yellow it is definitely one of my best dressed of the night.

I also have to give it to her stylist for picking that silver and turquoise necklace as it works perfectly with the structured elements of the Versace gown. Love her from head-to-toe, her sleek bob is gorgeous.

Do you love this look as much as me?

Golden Globes: Emma Stone In Two-Tone Lanvin Gown

Who: Emma Stone

Where: At the 69th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles

Wearing: A purple and fuchsia frock by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin with cap sleeves, plunging neckline and flowing layers, accessories with a large eagle clasp leather belt and a Cartier clutch

Verdict: Wow, seriously wow, I’m in love this Lanvin gown. I just love a dress with a dual personality and this dress certainly has that with the romantic vibe of the flowing layers broken up by an edgy eagle clasp belt – it just toughens the look up and makes it youthful – this is superb styling. Lately Emma has been working a lot of green and I am so glad that she went for this purple and fuchsia two-toned dress as the colours just look amazing together.

I know this dress won’t be for everyone but Emma is definitely one of my best dressed – I love the look from head-to-toe.

Golden Globes: Charlize Theron In Dior Couture

Who: Charlize Theron

Where: At the 69th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles

Wearing: A dusty rose silk chiffon Dior Haute Couture gown with a plunging neckline, sash detailing to the hip, a thigh-high spilt and a train, accented with a Cartier brooch on her waist from 1951; teamed with a vintage Cartier headband, a museum piece comprised of platinum and round-old-cut and rose-cut diamonds from 1920

Verdict: Charlize isn’t afraid to wear something different and along with Sarah Michelle Gellar I think this Couture gown was one of the most dramatic looks of the night. She was also hot on trend as well with her nude hue and headband, which seem to be everywhere – but she most certainly showed how to do it well. This gown also had a grace about it, which you would expect from something that showed off both cleavage and leg, but it moved so well on the red carpet.

Charlize most certainly gets on my best dressed list – this dress is divine.
