One of the best things about moving to our forever house in Kent is the fact we are so close to the beach. Even on a cold, winter day like this, where the mist rolled in and made visibility poor, there’s a magic and calmness that just makes everything better. There is, however, a challenge though to loving the beach in winter, what to wear. When it comes to sale shopping my approach is to see which items in my many wishlists that I have scattered across online retailers and on my secret Pinterest boards have been reduced in price. For me, this means I originally liked the piece but felt I couldn’t afford it at the time, but a reduction in price always makes them seem more favourable or tells me that I have to remove it straight away as I will never want to wear it. There are things I love about all seasons, in winter I dream of snow, lots of snow, in spring I love seeing all the new blooms, and in summer, you can’t go wrong with a day filled with sunshine and clear blue skies, but there’s something special with autumn and all its colours. Hands up if you are a little excited about autumn? I love this changing of the leaves season, all the shades of red and orange, the cosy knits, the sipping of hot chocolate by the fire, collecting conkers and acorns, as well as that dreamy moment of switching out the summer candles for pumpkin spice and the like!!! Autumn coming around also means new fashion trends and one that’s caught my eye has to be all those mustard vibes everywhere – from gorgeous coats to cool biker jackets, leather bags and the most beautiful pair of shoes that I need.
