Wearing: A custom nude silk crepe Calvin Klein Collection dress with plunging back, designed by Francisco Costa, teamed with a bold Lorraine Schwartz turquoise necklace and ring

Verdict: The supermodel looks amazing and I think it is all to do with that OMG necklace, which on first glance I thought was part of the dress. What makes this look one of the best is that it is simple-but-beautiful – just proofing that you don’t always have to go for the OTT look. I also think the blush tone helps – how gorgeous is that colour.

Great look – even better necklace!!!

I have featured a number of Lara Stone covers, she really does seem to be an editorial dream model. For most she goes for bold, in Gucci for Paris Vogue, and another cover for the French title showing off her bosoms, but for the first time Lara has been given a minimalist vibe for Vogue Russia’s July 2011 cover.

Shot by Mark Seliger, I just love how honest the portrait shot is, as well as the fact that I don’t think I have seen a shot of her like this before, she has been stripped back and looks fabulous. Wearing Calvin Klein, the styling by Camilla Nickerson is perfection, as to make this cover gorgeous the clothes did need to take a back seat. I have to admit I love Lara Stone, but even I was surprised she could deliver such emotion, I adore her icy glare on this cover.

I know some people will say that it isn’t a cover shot, but that is possible why it works for me, I am glad that Vogue Russia went for something different. I also love the shots for the accompanying editorial, if like me you pick up a lot of international mags I totally recommend this one!!

Where: At the Sleeping Beauty premiere during the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals

Wearing: A custom gold sequinned Calvin Klein Collection gown teamed with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Art Deco watch

Verdict: Wow, Diane really knows how to bring it on the red carpet, and I love her in this glamorous gold dress. I wish I could get a shot of her from the back as this beauty is backless and the train is just perfection. Her body looks amazing in his dress, and I am so glad that she went for red lippy as this gown needed some attitude.

I left off the picks with her boyfriend Joshua Jackson as he looked a little odd, more like a skater-boy than someone who is in his Thirties, he was wearing Lanvin but still I didn’t think it was a red carpet worthy look.

Diane on the other hand didn’t seem to care – she worked this gold statue look and I love her so much for it.

Where: At the 83rd Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood

Wearing: A custom metallic Calvin Klein Collection dress, teamed with a Louis Vuitton colourful brooch on her hip from the high-jewellery collection, as well as the matching earrings and ring

Verdict: Since Gwyneth started singing she really has gone all sexy!!!

I love this metallic gown, it is minimal so no chance of a repeat of the OTT pink Ralph Lauren pink number, but the chest slit detailing is hot.

What makes this outfit for me has to be the gorgeous L’Ame du Voyage Louis Vuitton jewellery collection, I love the styling of the brooch on the hip, and I adore the diamonds teamed with coloured stones – it really has a vintage old-Hollywood feel about it.

Who: Oscar nominated Jennifer Lawrence for her role in Winter’s Bone

Where: At the 83rd Academy Awards in Hollywood

Wearing: A striking red custom Calvin Klein Collection silk tank gown

Verdict: One of the first to hit the red carpet, and probably the only one who is going to go for red, or I could be wrong and a trend might begin!!! I like the minimal vibe that Calvin Klein does perfectly, and don’t get me wrong Jennifer looks amazing in it, but for me it isn’t an Oscar gown.

Wearing: A custom nectar silk crepe, open back Calvin Klein Collection dress with short sleeves and a train teamed with a gold clutch

Verdict: The Calvin Klein girls really did stand out, and I am even thinking that Emma stole it slightly from Claire Danes, as the colour and t-shirt sleeves really make this dress pop. I like the fact that Emma kept her hair and make-up minimal like the dress. It works for me.

Wearing: A custom neon pink silk Calvin Klein Collection halter gown, teamed with a gold cuff

Verdict: I love a bit of colour, and I love the minimal chic of Calvin Klein, both of which Claire pulls off with grace. It won’t win any best dressed but I think it looks stunning on her. I could totally see Diane Kruger working this dress as well.
