Who: Blake Lively, the face of Gucci’s new fragrance Gucci Premiere
Where: At the unveiling of the Director’s Cut of the Gucci Premiere film held at the Hotel Cipriani during the 2012 Venice International Film Festival
Wearing: A one-of-a-kind burgundy sleeveless deep v-neck, fully embroidered Gucci cocktail dress featuring raised flower detailing around the neckline, teamed with burgundy python Gucci Kinga Spike high heels, and pink gold and black diamond bracelet and ring finished off her look
Verdict: Well it was a given that Blake would wear Gucci, but what did surprise me was the colour, I love this deep wine shade on her, and I was expecting a gown that skimmed the floor, but I suppose considering she made her entrance on a boat it is hardly surprising that she chose to go short.
Blake looked absolutely incredible, everything from the shade to the high-glitz of the fully embroidered overlapping palettes, to her flawless make-up and messy updo, I love this look from head-to-toe. It may not have been what I was expecting but I love that it wasn’t girlie, this cocktail dress is edgy and it suits her.
I also had to include the picture of Blake with Frida Giannini, as I just adore Frida’s grey silk crepe Gucci cocktail dress with Art Deco-inspired beaded – the silhouette is divine.
