So Barbie has immortalised many celebrities, even works of art, and has worked with most of the top fashion houses over the years, but this has to be her most stylish makeover, my favourite doll is getting the Karl Lagerfeld treatment.
This is no ordinary doll, Barbie will be channelling the fashion designer’s complete look, from his trademark white ponytail to his signature tailored black jacket and even his fingerless gloves. I am also loving the fat necktie and dark sunglasses as her accessories, so stylish and so Lagerfeld.
Set to be released in the autumn in the States this is going to be one popular doll, no word on the actual date, or how much, but I think it will be similar to the Herve Leger and The Blonds Barbie’s that were $150.
I have to be honest I am sold and can’t wait to add Barbie Lagerfeld to my collection.
My only wonder is will there also be a mini Choupette?

I spend a lot of time living in a Barbie world, I write my blog in front of around 30 of my favourite dolls crammed into my office, but for some reason other than the odd piece of Barbie jewellery I have never worn a piece of doll loving attire on here, well that is until now!!!
I spied this beauty of a top in Primark, I instantly fell in love with it not just for the Barbie overload but also the cool sporty arms, kind of makes me think if Barbie was to have her own baseball team this is what she would wear. This top is also a great transitional piece for those less than sunny days, as the elbow-length sleeves make it perfect for keeping the chill off. As the top is doing all the talking I decided to keep the rest of my look quite plain and this black skirt from New Look is just perfect for my casual look.
I also think my Barbie look went perfectly with the pink coloured houses of Primrose Hill. Not an area of London I have spent that much time in, not sure why as I was mesmerised by the rows and rows of pastel coloured town houses, such a cute area and the perfect location for The Apartment‘s spring break. There was a fun, chilled out schedule of yoga, a blow dry masterclass and movie marathons, as well as gorgeous nibbles from Aubaine. Unlike fashion week when it is a little crazy it was nice to catch up with friends and enjoy just lounging about, plus I also got to get the fab guys at Blow Ltd to do my hair, I really do think I am a little addicted to their Beach blow dry.
As well as debut my first Barbie-adorned piece of clothing I also wore my new Citizen Eco-Drive watch for the first time. My watch collection has grown over the years, I blame my fiancé he loves watches, but this Swarovski crystallised beauty has to be one of my favourites. I have lots of watches that are either stylish or functional, not many do both, but the Eco-Drive really does with its silver accents, sparkle, and white dial, teamed with day, date and 12/24 hour time displayed in three sub dials. Normally when a watch has so much going on it isn’t as feminine or glamorous, but I think you have to agree this is one gorgeous watch. Best of all, apart from it being so comfortable to wear, I also love that it doesn’t need a battery, this little cutie harnesses the power of light. I have to be honest I am seriously impressed and I think I have worn it nearly every day since it arrived.
My Style: Barbie top, Primark // Skirt, New Look // Glasses, Retro54 // Citizen Eco-Drive watch, Citizen (c/o) // Boots, Topshop // Hair, Blow Ltd at The Apartment //

If ever there was an actress that deserved to be immortalised as a Barbie it is Fan Bingbing, as come on she is already doll-like perfection. I have been blown away by the Chinese star’s red carpet looks since I first saw her at Cannes many years ago, she has this ability to wear dramatic dresses with ease, and I love that she incorporates her own culture into her exquisite looks.
One of her most recognisable Cannes looks from back in 2010 was this divine one-sleeve Dragon Robe gown by Laurence Hsu, it really is a piece of art with the waves, the tapestry-style print and the slinky silhouette, and Barbie really has recreated it perfectly. Not only is the gown amazing, I really love this look, but more than that they’ve really capture her delicate beauty right down to the blue coloured nails perfectly.
I really have to add this beauty to my collection, the only thing I wish they had also included was her drop earrings, but that is just me being extra picky!!! You can buy the Fan Bingbing Barbie for $39.95 from Barbie Collector.
Will you be adding Fan Bingbing to your Barbie collection?
