Oscars 2013: Naomi Watts In Giorgio Armani

Oscars naomi watts armani Oscars 2013: Naomi Watts In Giorgio Armani %tagWho: Nominated actress Naomi Watts

Where: At the 85th Annual Academy awards held in Los Angeles

Wearing: A custom Giorgio Armani gown fully enveloped in layered gunmetal grey sequins, teamed with Jimmy Choo heels and diamond jewellery

Verdict: It’s the gowns with something a little different that caught my eye on a mainly safe red carpet at last night’s Oscars, and this Giorgio Armani was a stand-out piece. Naomi Watts always has an elegance about her, she can pull off literally any look and this slinky gown looked incredible on her.

What I love, other than the gunmetal colour, which literally shimmered on camera, was the one-shoulder, off-center cut-out design along the bust-line. When she first stepped out on the red carpet I literally held my breathe as this gown took a risk that paid off and I loved it.

Finishing off her sequinned look was minimal styling, which seemed to be a big theme of the night, she just added diamond drop earrings, a diamond bracelet and a cocktail ring, and one of the best hairstyles of the night, a messy up-do. For me this is not only one of the best looks of the night but one of Naomi’s best ever looks!!!

Friday Eye Candy: Luke Evans Wearing Armani

Luke Evans Friday Eye Candy: Luke Evans Wearing Armani %tag

Earlier this week I attend the WGSN Global Fashion Awards held at The Savoy and had the pleasure of interviewing the presenters and shortlisted designers on the red carpet as they arrived. I have already brought the gorgeousness that is Cat Deeley who hosted the event, but I felt that Luke Evans was most certainly Friday Eye Candy material.

The Welsh actor who is currently filming The Fast and The Furious 6 here in London, alongside my favs Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Vin Diesel, was looking very dapper on the night in an Armani suit.

I asked him about his styling for red carpet events and he told me that he has worked with Armani for years, adding “I just love the fit of their suits, this one is literally off-the-rack” – well you certainly wouldn’t have guessed it fitted him perfectly.

I did ask if he could spill some gossip from the set of the sixth instalment of the car franchise and he was quite tight-lipped saying only that he was a “villain” and that straight after the awards he was rushing off to do some night filming at Piccadilly Circus, added “we are shutting it down” – I love these films but just think how amazing it will be with a London skyline for the car chase scenes!!!

So what do you think of Luke’s red carpet look? For me this look revolves around that amazing textured tie, I am just sad it doesn’t shine through on the photo.

Total Recall: Kate Beckinsale in Giorgio Armani Privé

KateBeckinsaleArmani Total Recall: Kate Beckinsale in Giorgio Armani Privé %tagWho: Kate Beckinsale

Where: At the Hollywood premiere of ‘Total Recall’ at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles

Wearing: A strapless green and black reptile-print Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Couture gown from the spring/summer 2012 collection, teamed with Lorraine Schwartz black diamond drop earrings

Verdict: So we are all thinking that Kate has got a new stylist right with this dramatic look? Usually Kate seems to go for pretty rather than standout, generally a lot of sparkles, ruffles and occasionally with a hint of sexy - well it seems that Kate totally went for it with her latest red carpet look with this uber-glamorous and incredible gorgeous Armani couture gown.

I am sure for some this dress will be an instant dislike because of the reptile print, but come on don’t you think that adds to the drama of this gown? I love the way the print seems to follow the curves of her body and the green just pops beautifully.

Of course she couldn’t go too wild so we still see her with her trademark tousled ‘do and barley there make-up I think I would have liked to see something a little more edgy, maybe a slicked back bun and smokey eyes. But I do love that she let the dress do the talking and didn’t go crazy with her accessories – the drop earrings and plain black band ring work perfectly.

What do you think of Kate’s dramatic look – love or hate?

Magic Mike: Channing Tatum In Giorgio Armani

Who: Channing Tatum

Where: At the London premiere of his new film Magic Mike

Wearing: A two-button peak lapel charcoal grey window pane pattern Giorgio Armani suit with matching waistcoat from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, with a grey shirt and polka dot tie and super shiny black shoes

Verdict: I do love a great checked suit, but come on let’s be honest the only reason to feature Channing is for the eye candy, yep he is my current crush of the moment and I am excited to see his latest flick, Magic Mike.

Channing was joined by his co-star Matthew McConaughey who was looking just as dapper in a Dolce & Gabbana checkered grey suit, styled with a very smart light-blue shirt and a maroon tie. HOT!!!

I am not sure who looks more dashing – but I am loving their coordination.

So will you be heading out this weekend to see Magic Mike? I can tell you I will be at a showing tomorrow and I seriously can’t wait.

Grammys 2012: My Best Dressed – Rihanna and Katy

GrammysKatyvsRihanna Grammys 2012: My Best Dressed Rihanna and Katy %tag

After being utterly bored by the BAFTA red carpet I wasn’t really in the mood to stay up and watch the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, I did however catch-up this morning and I have to be honest there were a lot of hits and twice as many misses – but this is kind of what I expected from the Grammys.

For me the best dressed has to go to either Rihanna’s show stopping black silk cady custom Giorgio Armani gown or Katy Perry’s sky blue Elie Saab gown from the spring/summer haute couture 2012 collection. If it came down to just the dresses I think Katy would win, but her Smurfette hair is really putting me off, but then again I am not that thrilled by Rihanna’s roots either.

What I love about Rihanna’s look, which she co-designed with Armani is that it fitted her body perfectly, everything about this dress is sexy from the plunging neckline to the thigh-high split, to the dramatic open back and the mermaid silhouette into an elegant train – taking inspiration from Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface obviously works for RiRi as this is one great red carpet look.

On the other hand there is Katy Perry looking elegant in this exquisite fully-embroidered backless floral Elie Saab creation. Everything is divine from the colour to the simple ribbon belt, to the gorgeous floral appliqués, and I do love it when Katy does princess rather than quirky. If only her hair was elegant this would have be a clear winner for me.

A special mention has to go to both Fergie in this vibrant orange lace Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown from the spring/summer 2012 collection, hot off the Paris catwalk and Gwyneth Paltrow in a black cut-out Stella McCartney dress with gold belt from Stella’s Evening Collection for both looking absolutely incredible - seriously crazy hot bodies.

I know everyone isn’t going to love Fergie’s bold catwalk-to-red carpet look complete with black bra and big pants but I love that she totally went for it – and come on you all have to admit she is totally working this dress.

Hot Hot Hot: Megan Fox As A 1930s Siren

armanibeauty2 Hot Hot Hot: Megan Fox As A 1930s Siren %tag

Once again Armani have made me swoon over Megan Fox with another campaign video, this time for the Giorgio Armani Beauty Madre Perla collection, which she is the face of. The video plays tribute to the elegance of the 1930s and Megan embodies the era perfectly.

The holiday collection, inspired by the sleek lines, sophisticated colours, and luxurious details of the Art Deco era is simply divine and my highlight of the limited-edition line has to be this gorgeous Mother of Pearl Palette. From everything from the black lacquered compact to the three shades, which instantly makes any complexion radiant, this is just one gorgeous product. The best bit is that these three shades can either illuminate your lids or highlight your cheekbones – so it may be a little pricey at £95, but it is a multitasker!!

The pieces in the collection that I feel will sell out very quickly has to be the exquisite Gloss d’Armani, which is available in four gorgeous shades, with my favourite being the plum shade – very luxurious. Each one is £21 – but with a stay-fast colour that remains true for eight-hours, or so the press release stats that will definitely get you through the party season!!

Other products in the collection are an eye palette and sparkly ‘Eyes to Kill’ eyeshadow.

Video Loving: Armani and Rihanna Get Sexy

Seriously only Rihanna could make changing into jeans on the backseat of a car sexy!!! Armani have released a black and white film noir-inspired video shot by Steven Klein featuring their latest celebrity ambassador, Rihanna to celebrate the launch of their new global flagship, Armani.com.

Captured against a backdrop of garage walls and car seats in New York, this is one sexy and sultry flick, but what shines most for me has to be Rihanna’s Skin song as the backing track *need to download NOW!*.

I have to be honest, part of me is wondering whether it could have been any model doing a striptease for this video, I am not sure other than the fab backing track what Rihanna really brought to this, but on the other side I just love the sexy vibe and the drama of what’s in the bag!

What is clear is that it seems that Armani is sticking with its black and white, pull jeans over underwear approach as it is the same concept that previous celeb ambassador Megan Fox was seen doing for her campaign, which I actually preferred.

So which corner are you in RiRi or Foxy?
