Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner: Diane Kruger In Alberta Ferretti

Who: Diane Kruger

Where: At the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner celebrating its 180th anniversary at Teatro La Fenice during the 70th Venice Film Festival

Wearing: A purple, three quarter sleeved Alberta Ferretti crushed velvet gown from the autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with a box clutch, H. Stern diamond drop earrings, a cocktail ring, and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Etrier watch

Verdict: There is something about velvet, I think that Diane Kruger’s latest red carpet look will split opinions, for some velvet is a little old-fashioned and conservative, however for me I love the luxe feel of the textured fabric and Diane looks uber-glamorous in this gorgeous-yet-simple Alberta Ferretti gown.

I think if this dress had been in a deep red or black I wouldn’t have like it as much – I just think the purple seems more modern and I love that she matched her plum manicure to the dress.

As well as loving the dress, I also adored Diane’s jewellery – from her elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre watch to her statement cocktail ring, and those gorgeous diamond star-shaped drop earrings – each piece is exquisite.

I know it is still sunny outside – but I am loving Diane’s wintry look – are you a fan?Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-5Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-2 Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-3 Jaeger_LeC-diane-kruger-4[Pics: Getty Images for Jaeger-LeCoultre]

Shoe Lust: Kate Beckinsale’s Jimmy Choo ‘Myth’ Sandals

Who: Actress Kate Beckinsale

Where: At the premiere of Paramount Pictures’ “Star Trek Into Darkness” held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California

Wearing: A black strapless Alberta Ferretti dress with an asymmetrical hem from the pre-fall 2013 collection, teamed with Jimmy Choo black and yellow ‘Myth’ sandals also pre-fall 2013, statement Irit silver chain embellished earrings and a black satin clutch

Verdict: Black and neon can’t fail for me and I am in love with this high-fashion yet simple look from Kate. Black is already a slimming colour but this structured dress really nips in her already tiny waist and petite frame to perfection. I also love the voluminous skirt and asymmetrical hemline on this dress, don’t you think it makes her look even tinier or is that just me???

But what makes this outfit for me has to be those exquisite Jimmy Choo ‘Myth’ heels – I love how the delicate black suede straps are mixed in with the patent neon yellow ones. The flash of neon against the black makes these beauties stand out and they stop this look from being boring.

I am also so pleased that Kate didn’t feel the need to pair these heels with matching neon yellow nail varnish as the nude shade that she is wearing complements them so much more.

Also I can’t mention her incredible Irit drop earrings – aren’t they interesting? I love the silver chain detailing, which kind of gives them a punk feel and they totally wouldn’t have looked out-of-place at last week’s Met Gala.

Are you loving these heels as much as me?

Nicole Fragrance Launch: Nicole Richie In Alberta Ferretti

Who: Nicole Richie

Where: At Macy’s Glendale Galleria in California for the launch of her debut fragrance ‘Nicole’

Wearing: A white pleated silk v-neck Alberta Ferretti dress, teamed with good jewellery and Brian Atwood leather booties featuring gold zip detailing

Verdict: This dress is super cute, I love the girlie vibe of this little white dress with the tiered pleats to the skirt, but what I am not loving is the black booties. I get that she has an eccentric individual style but these shoes just feel wrong with this pretty dress – is it just me?

Back to what I love, check out the ‘Nicole’ bottle, wow, wow, wow, how expensive does this look. Apparently, the fragrance was inspired by the various lotions and oils that Nicole’s mother used and has a fruity aroma. American followers can buy Nicole’s fragrance next month, no date on a UK launch – but I can’t wait to smell it, I think I have been sold just by the sexy ad!!!

Do you rate Nicole’s look? And are you excited to smell Nicole’s debut fragrance?

Global Gift Gala: Eva Longoria In Alberta Ferretti

Who: Eva Longoria

Where: At the 2012 Global Gift Gala held at the Gran Melia Resort Don Pepe resort in Marbella at the weekend

Wearing: A purple strapless Alberta Ferretti in satin and chiffon from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, teamed with a metal clutch and dark eye make-up

Verdict: Get used to seeing purple, whether it is on the red carpet on the high street as it is set to be a huge trend come autumn/winter. Purple doesn’t always cut it for me on the red carpet, but I am loving this strapless corset gown on Eva, the streamlined silhouette is divine.

Not that she needs it but the narrow waist panels makes this gown uber-flattering and the combination of satin and chiffon really makes the dress shimmer. I also love her trademark ponytail and dark eyes. This is a great look for Eva.

Do you like Eva’s purple Alberta Ferretti look?

Cannes 2012: Jada Pinkett Smith Photocalls For Madagascar 3

Jada Pinkett Smith has brought what I can only describe as the J-Lo factor to Cannes, and what I mean by this is putting together fierce looking outfits together with a flawless sexy face to promote her new flick. Fresh from promoting Men In Black 3 at her hubbie’s side, Jada did not one but two photocalls for her movie, Madagascar 3, and she really made an effort.

Her first look was insanely fierce, working a sexy strapless cream studded Versace dress from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, which fell just below-the-knee, which she paired with a gorgeous pair of Salvatore Ferragamo peep-toes. For a normal photocall this look would have been way too much, but for Cannes in the sunshine, I don’t know why but it just works.

For her second photocall of the day, Jada went for a more elegant-yet-sexy look in this divine emerald-green chiffon Alberta Ferretti floor-length gown with a deep neckline from the spring/summer 2012 collection. A completely different feel to the Versace, but still sexy and flawless, but I have to admit I prefer this gown just because of the flowing nature of the silhouette and the colour is exquisite. I also love the addition of the gold cuff.

After these two amazing looks for just photocalls surely a dramatic couture or custom-made gown is on the cards for the premiere!!!

Cannes 2012: Eva Longoria In Alberta Ferretti

Who: Eva Longoria

Where: At the Opening Night Dinner during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals

Wearing: A black lace Alberta Ferretti gown with illusion neckline and nude underlay from the autumn/winter 2012 collection

Verdict: So how do you follow that jaw-dropping Marchesa gown, well Eva went for a gorgeous and elegant Alberta Ferretti lace dress that looked exquisite. What I love is how completely different it is from the tulle train gown, I am loving this Gothic vibe from this lace gown, she really changed it up and I am liking it. The only think I am not so sure about has to be the white clutch but that is just me being extra picky.

I have to be honest is Eva even in Cannes to actually promote a movie? I have no idea, and frankly don’t care, I am loving her looks so far, eagerly awaiting more!!!

Bridal Beauty: Alberta Ferretti Forever

I don’t know why but I have come over a little broody about weddings; maybe it is because of all the high profile weddings with a couple of Royal affairs, Kate Moss finally becoming Kate Hince, and even Daniel Craig tied the knot even though I didn’t know he was dating Rachel Weitz this summer; or maybe it is because I am obsessing about the Grace Kelly Bridal Barbie. I just don’t know what it is but I even nearly bought a wedding magazine the other day!!

I should also quickly add a disclaimer for my boyfriend, no I am not pressurising you to propose, one day would be nice, but I just couldn’t not blog about these gorgeous dresses.

This is Alberta Ferretti’s second bridal collection ‘White Carpet’, and consists of 13 dresses which are all sheer perfection, with each being named after a Hollywood movie star.

I am quite taken with ‘Scarlett’ at the top, with its long lace sleeves, voluminous skirt, and that dramalicious silk-tulle veil with Chantilly lace and a crystal hem – gorgeous!! If ever there was an Oscar-winning wedding dress this beauty would be it, no need to worry about the bridesmaids taking the spotlight with this gown.

After something a bit more delicate and romantic? Then you are probably after the ‘Audrey’, with its empire line dress adorned with floral embroidery made from gems, satin and chiffon petals to the front.

Then there is ‘Mia’, completely different again with its shorter skirt length and sheer embroidered train, it kind of breaks away from tradition slightly.

My second favourite is this ‘Nicole’ wedding gown, I think it is because it is so different, I love that it is Twenties-inspired with a headscarf replacing the tiara and the floaty ethereal skirt. Actually this dress is quite hippy isn’t it. I don’t think it reminds me much of Nicole Kidman though, but it is a stunning dress.

The other gowns are named: Greta, Marilyn, Liz, Ava, Claudia, Catherine, Isabelle, Michelle, and Penelope, and each has its own sense of femininity, different in silhouette and volume, but still just as stunning as the next.

The wedding dresses will be available from November, with prices starting at £1,700 and reaching £7,500 *bet you that is for Scarlett*. But considering the dresses are hand sewn in Italy and each take between 30 and 80 hours to complete that is a great price.

“I believe that every woman on her wedding day wants to feel like a diva wearing a beautiful dreamy dress. Just like how the Hollywood movie stars create an important presence in red carpet gowns, I also want my brides to feel unique and special in the dresses that I have created for them. This is what I love to call white carpet.” Alberta Ferretti

Also how gorgeous does Poppy Delevigne look in these black and white shots??? Love!!!
