I am Danielle, I am a freelance fashion journalist and social media geek, and Fashionista Barbie is basically all the things I love.
Fashion. Barbie. Celebrities. Awards. Red Carpet Chic. Glee. The Hills. The City. Shopping. Films. ANTM.
A lot I know, but mainly I want this blog to be something that expresses my love for all things fashion, from the Couture runway shows, to the Red Carpet glamour, and the cute things I see that I just have to buy (whether I can afford them or not)!!
I am going to put it out there, I am not the most fashionable doll, generally I am the one in the corner with ten layers on freezing (and sometimes moaning!), but I like what I like, I don’t always go ahead and buy it for myself – I often say to myself ‘I like that style – but can’t quite pull it off myself’ and then other times when I think ‘I can‘t pull it off but what the hell I‘ll give it a go!’
Fashion for me is a feeling I have, I love the attention that is put into it, from the clothes, the catwalk show, the ad campaign and the editorial spreads, always glamorous and creative, to the attention that is received wearing it.
I love trying to figure out who wore what, not as quick as some blogs (but hey I have a day job!), and giving my verdict. Generally speaking this blog you’ll definitely give opinion and I hope that you’ll let me know what you think as well.
As for the Barbie side of this blog; well that will be because I’m fascinated (mildly very obsessed) with the attraction of this plastic doll. Once upon a time as a little girl I was more into cars and was considered a bit of a tomboy, but growing up I have seen the light and a bright shade of pink and been converted into the fashion chic world of the blonde bombshell that is Barbie.
From the facts, the vintage dolls, the fashion designers and celebrity collaborations, to the latest deals. You know you’ve made it when you’ve had a Barbie done of you – even Cheryl Cole has one!!
I am also a major OSCAR nut, absolutely love everything about it, from watching the films up for an award, to the red carpet madness (oh I wish I could be there), to the very long show with the jokes, the show tunes and ever possibility of a few tears! So as you can image award ceremonies are going to play a big part of what this blog makes up!!
Other things I love which may also get online are my Hard Rock Café bears from around the world, Bruce Willis, the Rock, postcards, sweets, my cats, oh and plenty of randomness!!
