LFW SS11: Daks Sleek Tailoring and Pleated Dresses

Daks was such a great start to day two at London Fashion Week, introducing a great colour palette of mustard yellow, charcoal grey, black and crisp white, with a collection of modern minimal elegance.

This is the second time that Daks have shown at LFW and Italian designer Filippo Scuffi presented a collection designed for the global traveller, with an emphasis on light and tailored garments: with cotton shirts, blazers, high waisted shorts, flowing dresses, wide-leg trousers and simple accessories.

Like with last season this collection was completely wearable, for me the stand out items included the dresses whether block colour maxis, slouchy pleated knee-length dresses, shirt maxis or the shift dresses – all were amazing and make me excited for summer again!

But what I absolutely loved, but totally know I can’t pull off, were the amazing super short shorts *or you might say more knickers*, they looked really good with the work-styling teamed with blazers, thin belts, knee-high socks and large tote bags.

What was most amazing about this show is that it was one of my favourites from autumn/winter 2010 when I was just starting this blog and I watched via the live-stream, this time being sat row 2 watching this show was amazing. Live-streaming is great but I loved the atmosphere of being their in person.
