Hands up if you are a little excited about autumn? I love this changing of the leaves season, all the shades of red and orange, the cosy knits, the sipping of hot chocolate by the fire, collecting conkers and acorns, as well as that dreamy moment of switching out the summer candles for pumpkin spice and the like!!! Autumn coming around also means new fashion trends and one that’s caught my eye has to be all those mustard vibes everywhere – from gorgeous coats to cool biker jackets, leather bags and the most beautiful pair of shoes that I need.
So, I thought I’d put together my favourite pieces, let me know which ones you are lusting over.
1. Topshop – Georgia Flare Slingback Sandals // 2. ASOS – Tailored Double Breasted Mustard Blazer // 3. Cambridge Satchel Company – Poppy Bag in Saffiano Leather // 4. & Other Stories – Wool Blend Oversized Coat // 5. Boohoo – Amelia Edge To Edge Waffle Knit Cardigan // 6. Cambridge Satchel Company – The Cloud Bag with Handle // 7. George at Asda – Faux-Suede Biker Jacket // 8. Missguided – Mustard Off Shoulder Cropped Knitted Jumper // 9. Mango – Unstructured Mohair-Blend Coat //
Let’s start with the dreamy coats, I love mustard hue coats, the colour just adds a statement to any look while still allowing you to wear black, which is always a favourite. My top buy has to be this £30 biker jacket from George at Asda, yep, this beauty is a supermarket buy and trust me it doesn’t look or feel like it’s a budget purchase and who doesn’t look a biker-style jacket for the autumn.
Want more of an autumn/winter coat? Well, I have two amazing choices dependant on budget. Less than £100, you can’t go wrong with this unstructured cotton mohair-blended coat from Mango, it has that great oversized style that I love and that works perfectly with layers, and I adore this slightly lighter mustard hue. Over £100, then head to & Other Stories for this wool-blend beauty. Again, it has that oversized fit, but this one definitely looks better quality and warmer so will take you through winter as well, but then again it is more than double the price point of the one from Mango.
Want just a hint of mustard, then these accessories will be perfect for you. First up, Cambridge Satchel Company, you guys know how much I love this brand, well they’ve updated all the styles I love in this gorgeous mustard hue. I’ve picked out my two go-to styles, the Poppy, she is so dreamy, and the Cloud Bag. Both are amazing, I wish I could have both!!!! I wonder whether CSC have a cute autumn leaf that can be embossed alongside your initials, that would be cool, wouldn’t it.
Shoes more your thing? Then check out these cuties from Topshop that check all the boxes. They are a gorgeous mustard suede leather, stylish slingback style, an angled heel for extra cool factor, and they have a pointed toe – seriously I’m in love.
Finally, all the mustard knits. I can’t stop buying knits, whether its jumpers or cardigans, I just love to be cosy warm and these two pieces, which FYI are both under £15 are both great additions to any wardrobe. I love this off-the-shoulder knit from Missguided, great value for £10 and it comes in tons of other colours as well, and for a cardigan version head to Boohoo for this £15 waffle knit.
Have you fallen for the all the mustard vibes?
