There is something about the contrast of tulle and camo that I just adore, on paper you might think it doesn’t work, but don’t you just love edgy and feminine teamed together, especially when added with a pop of pink. I wore this look during London Fashion Week, it seems every LFW I wear tulle at some point, and this year I thought I’d switch it up with this cool camo jacket I snagged at the Gap Outlet for £25.
I’d been looking for a great camo jacket for ages, since I lost mine, and this one is perfect as it is a little oversized, plus it has a drawstring around the waist to nip it in for a flattering look. I also love that the camo print seems a little more feminine than usual, and don’t you think it would make the perfect base to personalise, I was thinking about adding patches on the sleeves, adding some embroidery, and even getting my initials added onto the back.
I love wearing my denim jacket in the summer and I think this camo beauty will be my autumn staple, as I just think it has the same kind of versatility, it really can work with so many different looks. You could add a feminine touch like me with tulle, or a sequin pencil skirt or even with a denim skirt, or go edgy with a pair of leather trousers or ripped black jeans, I also love wearing my camo jacket with a hoodie underneath and track pants, for the super cool, just thrown this on kind of look. Seriously, camo is one of those wardrobe staples that you probably didn’t even know you needed – just try it.
To help you out, I’ve put together my top 10 camo jackets out there at the moment, from ones with added embellishments so you don’t have to do it yourself, to cosy parkas to take you through winter, and even the most strokeable jacket ever a faux fur camo coat.
