Cambridge Secret Garden

Cambridge Secret Garden

Looking back at these pictures is so strange, they were taken my last weekend in Cambridge, as we moved a week later. We planned to head back into town and eat at all of our favourite places, take all the walks we loved to do with Falcon and soak in the beauty of Cambridge, which has been our home for the last 10 years, however, you know what it’s like, crazy packing got on top of me, and time ran out.

But saying all that, I can’t complain that these are the last pics from Cambridge as it was such a wonderful weekend as I got to celebrate with my good friend Briony who got married. You might have seen it all play out on my Instastories, if not, you missed out as it was the prettiest of weddings in such a grand location, Kings College. But the day after the wedding, Briony and her husband Mark held a picnic in one of Cambridge’s many secret gardens. It wasn’t all sunny weather, we had that British picnic moment where we were all huddled under a tree munching our sandwiches, but that’s what made it fun.

When the weather was behaving we took a look around the Fellows secret garden, so, so pretty, all the roses and lavender, and I even made a kitty friend, this little black cat followed me around and photobombed all my style pics, I think he was attracted to my floaty skirt as he was a little bit of minx. Couldn’t blame him as this skirt was kind of perfect for a secret garden picnic, the florals, the tiered layers, the floaty chiffon material, feminine and cute, while being comfortable enough to sit on a picnic rug.

I have to be honest, I think this was the most, perfect last weekend somewhere, it was filled with laughter, dancing, secret garden hideaways, new friends, a beaming bride and groom, as well as the most incredible Chelsea bun, and if you’ve been to Cambridge you’ll know the one I’m talking about, if not, Google Fitzbillies if you are planning a visit, and luckily it all happen in the sunshine, well mostly!!!

Thanks Cambridge for being so fabulous, and fingers crossed I’ll see you again soon.
