When you are a lover of black, you become quite good at working statement accessories, and my latest love affair is with floral boots. OK, I might be a little late to the party, but hey, who says you have to be the first, you just have to do it your way, and I’ve totally fallen for these Ego ‘Lala’ beauties, the pink floral pattern just makes me think of blossom and a pop of pink is always good with black.

I wore this look to London Fashion Week on Day 4, I know I skipped days 2 and 3, I promise they will come but I just loved this look so much I couldn’t wait to share. As regular followers of the blog and my Instagram will know, I do love tulle, it generally forms at least one look every fashion week, and you know what I don’t care if I’m a repeat offender I just love tulle, and I adore this tiered tulle beauty I snapped up in the Asos sale one year. This year I thought I would mix it up by styling these floral boots as well as trying to master the trick of layering, adding this chunky cardigan, a bargain buy from Primark, to cope with this in between winter-spring weather we had during fashion week this season. It was actually warm, crazy I know, but the weather was actually nice for fashion week and that never happens.

For me, I love how these floral boots make the outfit fun, not only because a pop of colour is always a good styling tip, but because they are the perfect height, I love the round toe and with the rest of the look being mainly black it needed a statement accessory to stop this look from being boring. I know tulle can never be boring, but it could have been a little too safe.

Another fun element of this look has to be the lace overlay tee that I picked up in the Zara sale after Christmas, I’ve been admiring these tops on Instagram for a while but wasn’t sure if it was for me, but I think when paired with the right pieces, like this tulle skirt and chunky knit it works really well.

I think you might be seeing a lot of these floral boots this spring, don’t you think that they just cheer up any look, and I think paired with kick flare jeans they would make a great casual look.

What do you think? How would you style these floral boots?
