What designer pieces have you been crushing on lately? I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was probably something Gucci related, it seems to be everyone’s go-to designer brand at the moment, and I bet the floral mule loafer has been taunting you with its nearly £500 price-tag. Well, don’t you worry as I’ve found the perfect designer mule dupe from Ego and they will only cost you less than £25, a huge difference, and trust me they will be the perfect addition to your spring wardrobe.
The Gucci Princetown leather slipper comes in at £480, complete with embroidered flowers appliqué and gold-tone Horsebit detailing, while the incredible dupe from Ego, the ‘Cheska’ floral embroidered flat mule is just £24.99. OK, so the Ego ones might not be crafted in Italy out of the finest leather, but come on, for that price can you really go wrong. Normally, I’m a little cautious about designer dupes when they are so similar like this, but, I have to be honest if the Gucci ones were closer to £300 than £500 maybe I would have gone for the real deal, but when they are such good value at Ego I just couldn’t say no. Plus, if I wear them all the time, I think I might treat myself to the Gucci pair for my birthday.
Not so keen on the black version? Well, Ego have also got them in nude and in white, which on paper doesn’t sound like it will be nice, but hey just look at them at the bottom of the page in the shop panel, seriously dreamy. Ego also has the furry mule on offer as well for the same price, and Missguided have the cutest ‘bug’ embellished mule, while Boohoo have added lipstick and lip patches to their mule loafers. All so cute, I’m kind of a little obsessed with this slip-on and go style. Work with boyfriend jeans, tailored trousers or with a chic denim pencil mini, the possibilities are endless.
