If you had to go with just one autumn staple what would it be? In recent years, I might have said leather jacket or a chunky longline cardigan, this season I’ve fallen hard for a pair of leopard print boots, which you might not believe me when I tell you, but they were £12 and from Primark, and I love them.
I bought these beauties as a test run, I wasn’t sure if leopard print was for me, I’m always pinning gorgeous animal spotty coats, but I thought I would ease my way in gentle with these boots after I spotted them in the Tottenham Court Road Primark between meetings. I’m not a regular shopper in Primark as much as I used to be and the only shoes I’d ever bought were those cheap pumps for the summer or slippers, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from these, but am I glad I snapped them up, as at £12 they really were a steal as I wear them all the time.
What I like about leopard print, especially during these autumnal months when the leaves are turning, is that it is such a warm addition to my very-black wardrobe, and I like the rock-n-roll edge it adds to a look, including this simple jeans and blazer look that I wore during London Fashion Week. I know what you are thinking – you are still sharing fashion week content – I know, I totally forgot about this post, as I convinced myself as I shared on Instagram I had blogged it, I was kindly reminded by someone on Twitter that they hadn’t seen the full look, so here it is.
As well as the leopard print boots, everyone went a little crazy for this gorgeous Aspinal of London ‘Lottie’ bag, she is a beauty. I would love to say she was mine, but sadly not, I borrowed her during fashion week from The Apartment, but it has convinced me that I need a taupe colour handbag in my wardrobe as this one is so cute. This bag is also on the affordable luxury side, coming it at under £500, so might be worth investing if you love it so much.
