I thought it was about time I shared my current beauty products that I’m loving and the June Beauty Favourites is a good one, we have an incredible blow dry treatment, which I’m obsessed with, the ultimate deep pore cleaning tool, my go-to nail colours for the summer, a cute detangler, a highlight to give you a subtle bronzed glow, as well as the best set of affordable make-up brushes out there. Basically, these are those beauty bits that I adore and use regularly, and hopefully, you will discover something new to try.
June Beauty Favourites: Hair
I have long hair, it can sometimes be a little unruly, take ages to dry, and it doesn’t take a lot for it to seem lacklustre and unhealthy, so I’m always on the look out for products and brushes that help my hair look healthier and stronger.
First up, is the Redken Pillow Proof Blowdry Express Treatment Primer Cream, this hair product is a dream, it’s innovative formula works to strengthen and shield your hair from breakage, while also cutting down the drying time, providing heat protection up to 230°C, as well as helping you to keep your blow dry lasting longer.
Anything that can protect my hair without weighing it down gets my vote, plus one that works well with thick hair gets a double thumbs up, and this beauty is great at achieving a silky-smooth finish. I also found that after I had my mermaid hair colour, **if you haven’t seen it head over to my Youtube channel, which between you and me I have big plans for this summer**, it was a little dry and this treatment seemed to help with that, or maybe it was just that it was shielding the heat, either way, it made my hair look better.
It’s also easy to use, just pump twice to dispense a 50p sized amount, rub hands together and then apply evenly throughout towel dried lengths and ends, and then crank up the hairdryer and straighteners, whichever heat tools you use.

As well as being a fan of hair treatments I seem to be on a constant search for great brushes, latest on the hunt is the Tangle Teezer, I’ve been looking for a great detangling hairbrush for a while and the Salon Elite one is incredible. Of course, the lemon sherbert colour is fun, I also have a pug travel version that is so cute, but what I love about this is the brush fits great in the palm of your hand, and it doesn’t pull or tear the hair. Also, you can use this beauty on wet and dry hair, for me, it brushes through quickly on wet hair, which I love, but it also leaves dry hair looking shiny.
June Beauty Favourites: Make-Up
I know I keep sharing brushes, it is because I’m trying to find the ultimate set, and I have, to be honest, I think these affordable brushes from Revlon might be my pick. There are 8 available **I seem to only have 7 in the picture**, including brushes for powder, foundation, and brows, with the most expensive being £12.99, which is a bargain when you see these brushes up close, they are beautifully designed, I love the diamond grip handle, as well as the quality of the bristles. I really feel that these brushes look and perform better than their prices reflect.
My favourites are the Blusher Brush, I love the ultra-soft, natural bristles, it really is great for subtle colour, while the Powder Brush is great for even coverage, and I’m obsessed with the Double Ended Smokey Eye Brush, which is less than £8, use the slanted brush for eyeliner and the dome-shaped brush for smudging and diffusing colour.

One of my other June beauty favourites has to be Revlon’s Highlighting Palette in Peach Glow, I love this product, it is great for adding a lovely fresh glow without being too bronzed, which I don’t like. These shimmer shades really are more natural, more sunkissed than tanned. I love it of course on my face, but I’ve also been dusting over my shoulders when wearing off-the-shoulder tops and dresses.
Can’t have favourites without new nail colours, and these two shades from Essie are on rotation at the moment. The uber-bright pink is from the new gel couture collection and is called The It Factor. I love this shade, you can’t go wrong with bright pink for summer, but I also love that the varnish offers “gel-like” wear without the hassle of curing and soak-off removal, plus you don’t need to put a base coat on as it’s in the colour, so you great long-lasting nails in just two coats. The other shade is kind of like my blog theme colours and is called Turquoise & Caicos, seriously dreamy and every time I wear I want to be on the beach!!!

June Beauty Favourites: Braun Face
This little beauty is high up on my June beauty favourites list – the Braun Face is being billed as the first 2-in-1 facial device, delivering pore-deep cleansing, so radiant, beautiful skin, as well as facial epilation. I have, to be honest, I haven’t brought myself to use the epilator on my face, you may have read last year’s epilator virgin post last year, and even though I swear by epilation for my legs, I’m a little scared to use on my face – it says you can use it on your eyebrows, upper lip and chin.
What I have been using it for is as a cleansing brush as I love the deep clean, which apparently is six times more efficient than manual cleansing. As I have sensitive skin I don’t use every day, but rather once a week, and I use the extra sensitive brush. I love how the brush oscillates to sweep away make-up, it’s like having a spa treatment, and I love how clean and refreshed my skin looks and feels after using. I also love that this little gadget can also be used in the shower, which is perfect if you use every day, and even when I dropped mine in the bath it still worked perfectly.
I generally use mine more on the oily parts of my skin, and I apply the product to my skin rather than the brush as I just find it works better. As well as the face I use on my neck and décolleté. Another tip is to keep a note of when you put on new brushes as they recommend changing them every three months for hygiene reasons.
