So the past few weeks have needed a little adjustment, adding a puppy to the mix has knocked me off my game a little, but I finally think we are getting into our stride thanks to the fact we can now take Falcon for walks. It’s only a little thing, but having a puppy going crazy in the house, was making me feel less creative and very uninspired, but there’s something about going for a walk, even better seeing how happy Falcon is, that has left me ending the week on a high.
This week I also discovered that H&M is killing it with its new pieces, I was in there for about an hour the collection is so strong, and I’m obsessed with it all that I thought I would dedicate this week’s Friday Favourites to the 9 pieces that I want to buy now and I thought you guys would also love. Also, if you pick up the May issue of Elle you will also get 20% off!
My H&M Picks: 1. Jacquard-weave bomber jacket, £49.99 // 2. Cold shoulder blouse, £29.99 // 3. Leopard-print trainers, £24.99 // 4. Shoulder bag with fringes, £29.99 // 5. Pleated denim skirt, £39.99 // 6. Chiffon maxi dress, £39.99 // 7. Bustier with appliqués, £24.99 // 8. Skirt with appliqués, £29.99 // 9. Jacquard-knit jumper, £29.99 //
First up, my love affair with the bomber jacket isn’t going away anytime soon, especially when I saw this statement printed bomber in H&M for under £50. Isn’t it lovely? Another trend I’m loving is the cold shoulders and this adorable black top will work with everything, with jeans, wide-leg trousers, a skater skirt, and even denim shorts when the weather heats up.
Over the years I’ve also become a big fan of co-ordinated pieces and I adore this monochrome skirt and bustier set, the appliqués just makes it look more expensive than it is, and I think this would be a great wedding guest look – just imagine it teamed with bright statement accessories. Can you believe you can get the bustier and skirt for less than £55?
Spring/summer time I always seem to add cute statement accessories and these leopard print trainers, which are only £24.99, I tried these on and stupidly walked away from them, I’ve been asking myself why. Another great piece has to be this fringed bag, which is kind of a Chloe dupe without the price tag, and perfect for the summer months. Talking of Chloe dupes, this incredible summery chiffon maxi dress will give you a designer look for less, at under £40. Team with Converse trainers for a fun, casual look and a denim jacket.
If there were two pieces I had to buy right now over the rest it would have to be this gorgeous pleated denim skirt, I know what you are thinking, do I really need another denim skirt, and I think you’ll find the answer is always yes, especially when it looks as good as this. This skirt will also go perfectly with the Jacquard-knit jumper, I do love pink and blue together, and you really can’t go wrong with a statement jumper.
