Are you a trouser wearer? Up until a couple of years ago the only trousers I really wore were of the denim variety, I always thought trousers meant work clothes or a little stuffy, well it seems that they’ve come a long way in recent years and I’ve kind of fallen in love with a pair from Boden. These beauties are part of the brand’s spring/summer 2016 collection, the Richmond Tipped Trousers, and our love affair actually started at their press day last year, so I was so pleased to be able to style them up for London Fashion Week.
You might be wondering why these trousers are so fab, well, you see, they have this power-stretch fabric that makes them super comfortable, without being too tight, and I’m in love with the contrasting details are the hem and pockets, as well as how different the curved hemline is. I decided to go for a navy and red look, keeping the contrasting colours working throughout, which meant I could wear these incredible Boden Bonnie Studded Flats, which FYI are the flats of the season, these studded beauties can be dressed up or down and you can’t go wrong with T-bars can you?
These flats come in five different colourways, red, navy, khaki green, pink and a fun black and white stripe with colourful studs, I have, to be honest, I kind of want them all – but for me, the red ones just make the biggest statement, and I love wearing them with blue and black denim, as well as with dresses, I think these will be my shoe of the summer, when the sun finally comes out!!!
Finishing up my look is the most comfortable jumper, the Relaxed Pocket Jumper, as sometimes with a look you don’t need to try to hard to make it look good, the trousers and shoes are the talking points of this outfit so I went for a relaxed, slightly oversized knit. I also think a plain white shirt would have worked perfectly as well, but I can’t resist Boden knits, always so super soft and dreamy.
