Black And Gold

lfw-day-3-rose-gold-next-trainers-8

First up sorry for the lack of blog posts, I know, I did one of my spur-of-the-moment disappearing acts, but, I do have a great reason, my husband and I finally got a puppy, a cute Welsh Springer Spaniel and I couldn’t be more in love. So with it being a long weekend and having a new member of the family, who needs constant attention and love, oh and because he is so cute, I went off the grid a little, so I hope you guys understand. So today’s post is a little life update, as well as sharing my last style post from London Fashion Week and my love of black and gold. Even though the next few weeks I’m sure I’m going to be a little distracted, head over to Instagram to see our puppies cute eyes, I promise I have a lot of cool posts in the works, including sharing my recent trip to Amsterdam and a fabulous style post featuring some bright pink Timberland boots.

For me, black and gold is a great combination, it’s chic, works well dressed up, and adds a cool factor when dressed down, especially when gold just adds the statement factor of the look, like with these incredible rose gold trainers from Next, which everyone can’t believe are under £30. Plus they are super comfortable, I love wearing them with black skinny jeans, but I have, to be honest, I’m looking forward to the summer when I can team them with a cute summery white dress.

I find I do that a lot, dress around a statement piece, whether that’s jewellery, a hat, a cute handbag, or in this case trainers, and when they are as much of a statement as these I really do think the rest of the outfit has to be matching and black and white really works well. I also love to layer, and this dreamy duster coat from Boohoo is perfect for that, as it isn’t too thick so you can add a few more layers on without being too warm.

Final touches to this black and gold look has to be the incredible hair and make-up from the L’oreal Professional pop-up that took place during London Fashion Week, they made my hair all swishy, because you know, I’m worth it, as well as painted my nails the perfect gold hue to match my trainers. The last piece of this look that I adore has to be the biography pins from Astley Clarke with my initials, I love that you can wear them anywhere, I think they look good on the collar.

Do you love to wear black and gold?

Are you wonder where the picture of our new puppy is? Well, I just shared one on my Instagram – head on over he is adorable – but I promise a full blog on him coming soon. Plus if you have any puppy tips do let me know, as I’m currently functioning on next to no sleep.
