For me, London Fashion Week can cause a little drama when it comes to my outfits, I don’t look like a model so I have, to be honest with myself that most streetstyle looks that I adore are completely out of the questions, so what I concentrate on are my accessories to elevate my everyday style, and this season I’ve upped my game with this gorgeous Sophie Hulme bag that I found on Farfetch. I’ve been wanting a Sophie Hulme bag forever, actually, ever since I got a little gold dinosaur bag charm as an invite to her London Fashion Week presentation many moons ago, and now I’m happy to say that the Mini Milner is finally mine and I love her.
This bag just seems to capture everyone’s attention, I actually got asked on the street where my bag was from three times in two days, and the cutest old dear on the train home said that it was the prettiest handbag that she’d ever seen, with comments like that who needs to be streetstyle papped!!! I think it’s the combination of the dreamy leather, I’m obsessed with the charcoal grey colour of my Sophie Hulme bag, as well as the bold gold finish, the buckle really is a selling point for this bag, plus I love that the bell charm tinkles as I walk.
I know I said that my Sophie Hulme Bag was to elevate my everyday style, I have to add a disclaimer, I don’t wear tiered tulle skirts every day, oh how I wish, but if you can’t wear a tulle Princess skirt to fashion week when can you? I love this beauty that I picked up in the Asos sale, the tiers just make it a little different, plus I’m loving the slightly longer length. I paired it with my Comme Des Garcons Play t-shirt that I also picked up from Farfetch, I do love a Breton stripe top and I just thought this looked perfect with the tulle and contrasted nicely with the pink Gap coat and pom-pom scarf that was totally needed to keep warm, out of the sun it was so chilly on day 1 of London Fashion Week.
Finishing up my look I added a touch of red with my Asos boots, I do love a block heeled ankle boot, as well as my Lensway specs, which are slightly bigger than my normal glasses but I really like them. I just love the combination of red and pink, especially when worn with black.
The final touches were my jewellery, the bracelets from Lola & Grace are such great value and I think this slim sparkly bracelet will become an everyday piece, also how darling is that Black Spinel and White Topaz bracelet from Gemporia. I’ve only just recently discovered this jewellery site, they seriously have a bracelet in every gemstone imaginable and the quality is really good for the discounted prices.
I had a slightly quieter London Fashion Week this season, I decided to just do the shows and presentations that I adore, instead of half killing myself for five days straight running to every show possible. I know you guys like to see presentation images, first up tomorrow will be Sophia Webster, it was an incredible collection, and I will slowly work my way through all the other highlights. I will also be bringing you my other looks over the next few weeks – I don’t want to scare you guys off with too many outfits!!! If you want a sneak peak head on over to my Instagram page as I have been posting them on there.
