“The Markus Lupfer woman never sleeps,” apparently, “she glides through her day, transitioning from work to play with easy charm,” so the only question I have to ask is how do I become a Markus Lupfer girl? Seriously, I know I say this every season but Markus Lupfer really does keep getting better, and I left his autumn/winter 2016 presentation wanting to wear prints, lots of prints, and also needing one of his bejewelled handbags.
Markus Lupfer, once just about the sequinned lips knitwear or a cute slogan, has really grown up, he’s transformed his quirky line into the full package, we have daywear pieces, gorgeous outerwear, embroidered eveningwear, sunglasses, footwear and now handbags, everything to cater for the Markus Lupfer 24-hour lifestyle.
The handbags stood out for me, I think I have an addiction to pretty designer bags, but there is something so Markus about these studded and jewel-embellished crossbody bags and totes, sophisticated glamour with a touch of fun, and they looked incredible paired with the star-speckled and flower-embroidered square-toed boots, and the oversized sunglasses.

Away from accessories, my eyes were drawn to the details, the stunning hand-embroidery to the delicate frills, the beaded embellishments, the shimmering fabrics and the vibrant prints. I adored the geometric flowers, which adorned sheer skirts, pockets, jumpers, and pussy bow-tied scarves – there’s a vintage decadence about the romantic pieces.
There’s a bohemian glam-rock vibe about the collection that I love, my favourite pieces are the shimmery metallic pleated skirts, the smock dresses that will look incredible in the day teamed with flats and then glammed up in the evening, and I’m obsessed wth the luxurious outerwear pieces, from the embellished leather jackets to the tailored long coat with the statement floral pockets, I think that has to be my most-wanted piece.
This whole collection has me like a magpie, I can’t get enough of all the shimmering and vibrant prints and embellishments.
