So you might have heard, once or twice on my social media channels that it is London Fashion Week, yep, it’s come around quick again, so for the next five days I will be hitting the shows, presentations and parties – checking out my favourite designers, scouting out hot new designers, catching up with my blogger pals, as well as prancing about doing outfit pics – so there will be lots of content coming your way in the next couple of weeks.
To keep you going and to get yourself into the spirit of fashion week I’ve put together a London Fashion Week style wishlist – you may even spot a few of these pieces in upcoming style posts as I couldn’t resist snagging for myself!!!
Fashion Week Buys: 1. Topshop – Mixed stripe necktie, £8 // 2. Next – Rose gold trainers, £28 // 3. Astley Clarke Pins – Initial Biography Pin, £35 each // Star Biography Pin, £55 // 4. Boden – Richmond Tipped Navy Trousers, £69.50 // 5. Boden – Bonnie studded red flats, £89.50 // 6. Banana Republic – Mint leather tote, £99.50 // 7. Kikki.K – 3 essential notepads, £9 //
First up, the easiest addition to jazz up any outfit a necktie, this striped beauty from Topshop is so cute and at £8, it won’t break the bank either, team with straight leg jeans, a white t-shirt and a silk bomber jacket.
So if neckties are the new necklace where are you going to sparkle? Well, that’s where these adorable Astley Clarke pins come in. I’ve been obsessed with badges like forever, so these gorgeous pins are the perfect addition to any shirt cuff or collar, denim jacket, or even to pin to your necktie. I love that they have an alphabet collection as well as icons like a wishbone, heart and four-leaf clover, with my favourite being this cute star. I also like that you can add to your collection as time goes by, start with your initials and add in your favourite icons later.
So you have your necktie on, your white shirt adorned with pins what do you wear it with? It has to be this cool navy trousers from Boden with contrasting red piping around the ankles and pockets, which by the way work perfectly with this season’s ‘it’s shoe from Boden these studded flats that come in a host of colours, I just can’t resist a pop of red, especially during fashion week.
Stepping away from clothes, a must-have fashion week essential has to be a notepad, I know I’m old-school, and my new favourite place to pick up stationery has to be Kikki.K. At the moment, they only have a store in London’s Covent Garden, but the brand’s website is stocked full of pretty items so if you haven’t heard of the brand check it out – trust me these products will jazz up any office.
When it comes to fashion week I like to be comfortable and these metallic trainers from Next are perfection, oh and did I mention they are less than £30, so also a bargain. Like nearly every other fashion blogger I’m obsessed with rose gold so these beauties had to be mine as soon as I saw them and they will make the perfect companion for hitting the shows. I think I’m going to team them with a pretty white dress or maybe slouchy ripped boyfriend jeans.
Last up on my wishlist is this amazing mint leather tote from Banana Republic, which is fast becoming my favourite place to shop, I could have actually filled out this entire Friday Favourites with its new arrivals, I basically want to wear the whole shop. This tote, under £100, is the perfect fashion week bag as it will carry all your tickets, essential beauty items, your technology, as well as much-needed snacks!!!
