I have a lot of boots, too many to count, I generally think you can’t have enough ankle boots, so to add something new to my wardrobe when I’m trying to make considered additions only there is only one thing for it, adding a pair of investment boots. So, here they are, a gorgeous pair of Sam Edelman black knee-high boots, well actually they are billed as over-the-knee but my 34-inch legs mean they actually sit just under the knee, and I’m OK with that as they swish so beautifully!!!
Yep, I know investment boots should really be more timeless and classic, but hey I’m a firm believer that suede fringing should always be in fashion, and I’m in love with these black suede beauties, they really do make a statement and jazz up any outfit.
Oh, I totally nearly forgot the best bit about these investment boots, they were also a bargain, well when compared to their retail price, as I got these beauties from Cloggs, which if you haven’t heard of them get clicking as they offer great brands at amazing prices. These Sam Edelman ‘Josephine’ boots should have been £263 and they are currently £149, yep a saving of £114, now that’s a great discount. The only thing I would suggest is when browsing on Cloggs is if you find something you love, in your size, buy it quick as you might be disappointed when you come back to realise they’ve sold out.
So what are investment boots – for me they have to be a staple item for your wardrobe, a pair of boots that will instantly go with your style and current clothes, as well as standing the test of more than just the winter season. These boots work beautifully teamed with a chunky knitted dress and oversized cardigan, as well as over skinny jeans and a shirt for a more smart-casual look, and I can’t wait to wear them in the summer with a floaty dress for the ultimate bohemian-chic look.
