Winter is definitely here, we may have had a mild December, but January is turning into a chilly one. The other day my car said it was -2, so for this week’s Friday Favourites, I have put together those winter wardrobe essentials that will be perfect additions to your wardrobe. No longer do you have to think about hibernation, as I’ve found some incredible pieces that will not only keep you snug and warm, but you’ll also look good wearing them.
I’ve tried to think of everything you’ll need to create the perfect winter wardrobe, from the full-on Arctic-proof coat to the practical-yet-still-stylish pair of boots, as well as some fun, and toasty warm knits – trust me these winter warmers will see you right through until Spring.
Winter Wardrobe Essentials
Winter Wardrobe Essentials: Poncho, Joules // Foxy Mid Boots, Teva // Paignton Parka, Fat Face // Yellow Cashmere Jumper, Boden // Knitted Dress, Next // Authentic 1969 Embroidered Girlfriend Jeans, Gap // Cable Faux Fur Pom Beanie, Asos // Mix Stitch Tassel Scarf, Topshop // Heattech Roll Neck Long-Sleeve Top, Uniqlo //
There are a few highlights from my winter wardrobe favourites, first up, this Next ribbed dress, at under £30 it really is the perfect throw on and go look, it will look great teamed on its own with the oversized scarf and bobble hat, as well as teamed with that gorgeous bright yellow cashmere jumper from Boden.
Then you have these fun girlfriend jeans from Gap, these are such a comfortable style of jeans and with the added embroidery, they will look great worn with that stylish blanket poncho from Joules, I love how cosy this heavy knit looks, and for added warmth you could wear it over Uniqlo’s heattech roll neck top. I have a number of pieces from Uniqlo’s heattech collection and I can’t recommend them highly enough, they really will keep you warm without added the extra bulk of numerous layers.
The areas that gets cold first for me has to be my feet and I hate having cold feet, which is wear these Teva boots come in very handy, I love that they have a little heel and they really do go with most looks, and best of all they will certainly keep you warm.
