Les Deux Tours Hotel, Marrakech

Marrakech is one of the most pinned tourist destinations in the world, after my visit earlier this month I can see why, especially when you get to stay in places like Les Deux Tours Hotel, a stylish and serene boutique resort in the city’s lush Palmeraie. When my husband and I go away we always look for hotels with a bit character, somewhere that doesn’t have too many rooms, a place that offers great food, has beautiful surroundings and most of all a hotel that will leave a lasting memory, and Les Deux Tours certainly offers all that and more.

The hotel has 37 rooms, including seven pool suites, one jacuzzi suite, four premium suites and 12 junior suites, which is what we stayed in, and what makes Les Deux Tours so charming is that each one has a Moroccan flavour, from carved ceilings and bejmat tiles to private terraces and some even have fireplaces, and each one is filled with lovely restored antique Moroccan furnishings that you are going to want to take home with you. On top of all that each one has a view over the beautiful gardens, it is seriously lovely waking up to the chirping birds. les deux tours hotel, marrakech, marrakesh, morroco, hotel review, travel blog, travel, hotel, pool, food, rooms, luxury travel

The never-ending gardens are a highlight of Les Deux Tours, perfect for a wander after lunch or to just simply relax in one of the few iron four-poster beds dotted around, heavenly is an understatement, and with the limited rooms I loved that it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. As well as the garden, the heated outdoor pool is heaven for soaking up the Moroccan sunshine, after something a little more private there are also two other plunge pools located in different parts of the hotel, the fun is searching and finding a great spot to delve into a good book.

Trust me the big draw for Les Deux Tours is that it is the perfect place to recharge your batteries, this resort is pure relaxation away from the madness of the Medina, which is only a 20-minute taxi ride away. However, if you need a little help in relaxing then you can try the hotel’s spa facilities, sadly we just didn’t get around to it, but I heard other people raving about the massages.

Once you are feeling relaxed, settle into a night by the fire enjoying cocktails in the bar, before heading to the romantic Salammbo restaurant, which serves delicious Moroccan specialties such as tajines, where were incredible,  mixed in with French flavours, and they have a great dessert selection, trust me they are so big they are probably more suitable for sharing. Eating during the day is all about the pool-side restaurant, La Pergola that offers more Western style food options, it was wonderful eating on the terrace before heading back to the pool lounger to continue to soak up the sunshine.

For an anniversary break, we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel and if you are heading out to Marrakech and looking for something a little different, away from the hustle of the Medina, then Les Deux Tours is ideal, just be prepared for not wanting to leave.
