I was a little worried that Cannes 2015 had peaked a little early, day one and two were amazing, then Diane Kruger came to town and another high and then I haven’t really seen anything to wow me, lots of beautiful but nothing stunning enough to make the blog, until Emily Blunt who is in the French Riviera promoting her film ‘Sicario’. The actress has donned three looks and each one has been divine, especially her dazzling custom Stella McCartney gown.
What I love about Emiy Blunt’s style is that she isn’t afraid to try something new, she seems to love fashion, and I adore how she always goes for a gown that really enhances her amazing figure. This bespoke nude silkcrepe de chine diamond embroidered long sleeve Stella McCartney gown is everything you could ask for on the Cannes red carpet. It has the glamour, it really does sparkle, it has the elegance with the long sleeves and it has the sexiness with the tailored fit.
I also love that she teamed it with emerald Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie earrings and bracelets – this look is incredible, she looks gorgeous, every bit the movie star.
Earlier in the day for the films photocall she also looked beautiful wearing a colourful wool and jacquard Peter Pilotto dress, I do love seeing London Fashion Week designers having A-list moments like this. The dress is just so much fun, perfect for the sunshine of Cannes, I love how the detailing of the eyelets and the metal embellishments adds an edge to the feminine cut of the dress. It is just so perfect for a daytime photocall.
The final look, was actually her first in Cannes, was this stunning ecru column gown by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein for the fashion house’s Women In Film celebration. I love the minimalism and clean lines of a Calvin Klein gown, it suits Emily’s style, and this gown looks amazing on her. I think I would have just loved it in a brighter hue.
