So how many weddings do you have on your calendar for this year? At last count we had four, last year might have been all about our wedding, but this year is most certainly all about celebrating our friend’s big days and I can’t wait. I shot this wedding outfit a few weeks ago, a gorgeous winter wedding for my sister-in-law, in a Hogwarts-like school. The venue was so spectacular that I couldn’t resist doing my own mini photoshoot while the professional photographer was capturing the wedding party. It was a fun day and I loved that no-one really got what a fashion blogger was all about – to which I happily explained that we were just fashion crazed posers!!!Winter-wedding-guest-16

Back to the outfit, I always find it difficult to find the right attire for a wedding, as you’re never sure what the style is going to be, whether super formal or casual unless it says so on the invite, and it has to be a look that can go from dinner to dancing as no matter what all weddings are a tale of two halves.

This berry midi skater dress from Asos was perfect, the lace panels made it look more formal, which fitted in with the grand venue, the colour popped perfectly to celebrate the happy occasion and injected a touch of my personality to the look, and the flared skirt was smart and comfortable to enjoy the whole day.

It was winter, I snapped these shots without my coat **it wasn’t worthy of being included**, and I would have loved to wear this dress without the tights but it was just too cold to go without. I also opted for my black block disco heels to finish off my look, as they are super comfortable, I can drive in them as I the venue was about 20 mins from our hotel, plus I do love the disco-ball heels.

So what do you think – would you wear should a bright colour to a wedding?
