Mary Katrantzou is one of my favourite London Fashion Week designers, her collections are always full of colour, amazing prints and embellishments, so I was kind of excited and a little surprised to see that she had turned her hand to bridal wear for her friend, Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, founder of the Walkabout Foundation.
This bespoke gown is simply gorgeous, everything from the tiered skirt, which was made out of 120 meters of chiffon muslin and crinoline support to the sporty halter neckline, inspired by Katrantzou’s spring/summer 2013 ‘postage stamp/banknote’ collection. Everything about this wedding dress is unique while still being very bridal and I’m so pleased the designer shared these snaps of the beautiful bride on her Instagram account.
An incredible wedding gown for a truly gorgeous bride!!!
Another other brides-to-be hoping that the London-based designer Mary Katrantzou decides to properly branch out into bridal wear?
The dress looks gorgeous standing still but look how magnificent it looks in motion – simply breathtaking.
