The House of Holland show is always a fun one to attend, from the quirky invite, which this season was a temporary tattoo, to the celebrity front row, this time around including Kelly Osbourne, Harry Styles and Alexa Chung, basic his friends came out to support, and the soundtrack is always stella, I love the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack.
So with the staging set lets get down to the fun collection. Continuing on from his feminine autumn/winter collection, for spring/summer Henry Holland featured full skirts cinched in at the waists, lace trimmed silk slips, as well as gorgeous printed Venice Beach-inspired loungewear. There was also the sexy side of HoH that you expect with mini dresses just covering the arse, as well sporty with the racer back vests and baseball caps.
If the prints and feminine touches weren’t enough, Henry Holland also sent his models down wearing gun ‘mobile phone’ holsters and key holding harnesses that were hand painted. This was the added cool to a fun, bright and explosive collection.
My highlights had to be the metallic bomber jackets, the quirky shades, the gorgeous flirty dresses, as well as the tattoo-motif prints.
Of course we have seen Henry’s friend sporting his designs on the red carpet, and earlier this year Hailee Steinfeld wore one of his designs – I would love to see this collection being a big hit with young Hollywood starlets such as Nina Dobrev, Selena Gomez, as well as Miley Cyrus.
Are you a fan of Henry Holland? And who would you like to see wearing his spring/summer 2014 collection?
