Cover Loving: Diane Kruger For Marie Claire

Normally the summer magazine covers don’t really capture my attention, maybe because the magazine are hunting for more readers with free sunglasses, make-up or a tote so the cover gets hidden, but the August issue of Marie Claire featuring Diane Kruger is absolutely stunning that I just had to share.

Shot by David Roemer, the German-born actress poses in a sixties-inspired photoshoot for the magazine, wearing looks from Dolce & Gabbana, Mary Katrantzou, Chanel, and Margaret Howell that have been perfectly styled by Arabella Greenhill.

In the accompanying interview, Diane chats about her relationship with Joshua Jackson, describes Chanel as family, and talks about the fickle world of Hollywood.

On her special relationship with Chanel, Diane explains: “I started modelling for them when I was 15. I know everyone there on a first-name basis. They were the first ones to send me clothes when I started out as an actress. And loyalty is so rare in our business that it make sense to be supportive. It’s not always about money.”

Opening up about her boyfriend Joshua Jackson, she tells the magazine: “All relationships are hard. It doesn’t matter what job you have, or how famous or miserable or poor you are. It’s about commitment. The hard part is the timing. When you meet someone, are you ready to make them your number-one priority?”

I can’t wait to read the whole interview and see the full editorial  – will you be buying the August issue of Marie Claire?
