So the first thing I did this morning was watch Beyonce’s amazing Super Bowl performance, which was incredible I loved the fact that she brought out Destiny’s Child, even if Michelle did look a little uncomfortable about doing the Single Ladies routine.
Then I heard the news that Queen Bee is coming to the UK on her ‘The Mrs. Carter World Tour’, which got even better when I realised that O2 Priority customers would get their hands on tickets 48-hours before anyone else.
But what I loved even more than the fact I basically get to queue jump is that O2 have transformed Beyoncé into a sexy Queen Elizabeth I regal-looking-monarch, complete with ruffled collar, a gold beaded corset, and a diamond-clad crown, oh and some red thigh-high boots.
This promo was shot by Jonas Akerlund, famous for filming lots of Lady Gaga music videos including Paparazzi and Telephone, which starred Queen Bee, and I seriously love the styling, the beauty of Beyoncé, the crazy jester on the decks, and the elegance of the music and movement of the dance moves.
Are you excited about Beyoncé’s tour? Well, Queen Bee starts in Birmingham in April before heading to London and then finishing in Manchester in May. Priority tickets for O2 customers go on sale 9.30am Thursday 21 February, 48 hours before general release – so don’t forget to put a reminder in your diary.
