Where: At the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California
Wearing: A black long-sleeved Alexander McQueen gown that featured gold-embroidered detailing to the high neck, a deep cut-out to the front, and gold embellished belt to nip in the waist from the pre-autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with a bronze clutch
Verdict: Talking on the red carpet Kate Hudson explained that this McQueen number “was a last-minute decision” because “the other dress weighed 500 pounds” – which gets my mind racing to what could have topped this?
There is certainly something mesmerizing about Kate that I have always been excited to see what she is wearing when she steps out onto a red carpet, which hasn’t been that often lately, so I was pleased to see her down as a presenter, and this look certainly didn’t disappoint.
This dress is three-dimensional – it has an elegance in its silhouette, I love the slight train, then there is an added glamour with the gold detailing and then of course with Kate it has a touch of sexiness about it with the keyhole detailing to the bust. Basically this dress is just absolutely stunning and my favourite black gown from the event.
Finishing off a gorgeous look Kate kept her hair and make-up simple, opting to keep her blonde locks down and wearing minimal make-up.
I love this look – what do you rate Kate’s style?
