Verdict: This dress was not what I was expecting from Jessica Chastain, I was expecting something a little more edgy, instead this gown has an ethereal quality to it that I don’t think translated well.
I look at it and I want to love it, and in part I do, the colour especially is perfection against her skintone and her fiery coloured hair, and I loved the backless style of the gown, I just felt it wasn’t fitted very well.
Considering this was a custom gown it just looked like the bodice was a little big and the silhouette of the gown was unflattering it really needed to be nipped in more at her waist – she has a great figure that isn’t being shown off in this dress.
What did totally work were her jewels as she was dripping in Harry Winston diamonds worth $3 million – that cuff is gorgeous.
