The Outnet Summer Style: How I Took Victoria Beckham & Rebecca Minkoff To A Festival

Yesterday I blogged the first of my three looks at The Outnet Summer Style session, well from daytime lunching we went to chic festival fashion, no muddy fields, no Wellington boots, just VIP all the way with tea cups, well that was the brief and I went all out on the right accessories for the job.

Like Olivia Palermo who wore a navy blue and black colour scheme to Christian Dior this week, I also like the combination of the two colours – so I paired a gorgeous, slightly too big for me, black A.L.C. washed-silk wrap-around maxi skirt with a sports-luxe mesh-sleeved jersey Marni top, but for me this look was all about my accessories.

Top of my list of accessories needs were sunglasses, you can’t go to a festival without them and I picked out the most gorgeous pair of Victoria Beckham shades, they had everything I wanted from the retro cat-eye style to the detachable chain – well I don’t want to lose them while dancing now do I!!!

I paired these beauties with one of my favourite clutches from New York designer Rebecca Minkoff, I just thought that my navy/black combination could do with a pop of colour and what better than leopard print, granted you can’t fit a lot in there for a festival but remember I was going to an imaginary VIP festival, and I just had to include Rebecca Minkoff as she is one of my favourite designers.

Finishing off my look were some touches of jewellery, I love the bright pink and blue Dannijo jewels, they worked perfectly with my three silver Philippe Audibert bracelets, and my Pamela Love ring. Plus my only sensible thing were my flat shoes, I really liked the bright blue flash from the Pour la Victoire’s ‘Edilia’ leather sandals.

Ella from Coco’s Tea Party looked adorable in her printed Thakoon top paired with her leather See by Chloé – if I had her figure and legs I would also have worked tiny shorts. I also loved Kate from I Am Not A Celebrity in neon pink and that gorgeous Pamela Love harness-style necklace.

Next up will be my eveningwear look, which is my favourite of the three, and you will also spot the Victoria Beckham shades and Rebecca Minkoff clutch making another cameo, I loved them so much I had to include them again.

So what do you think of my chic festival look? I really liked the semi-sheer maxi skirt, would have loved more if it had fitted me – I had to be bulldog clipped in so it didn’t fall down, but I do like the combination of the sporty tee with the more dressy maxi – but for me this look is all about the accessories.

Don’t forget that all the blogger looks are on sale at The Outnet.
