Who: Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester
Where: At the LA premiere for her new film, That’s My Boy held at the Regency Academy Theater
Wearing: A blue-and-black tie-dyed effect asymmetrical Versus dress with black lace-up detailing on the left shoulder from the autumn/winter 2012 collection, teamed with a black Versace clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Liv’ platform sandals
Verdict: I love this tie-dye mini dress on Leighton, it has the right mix of Californian ‘cool’ girl and a young actress promoting her new film. Like with Diane Kruger in Cannes the lace-up detailing is one of my favourite features, but I can’t help wonder if this dress is a little too safe, Diane’s with it cut-outs to the side had a more edgy feel to it, but I do prefer the black and blue combo.
I do love her choice of shoes, those Jimmy Choos are incredible. But I have to ask what is going on with her hair has it been lightened at the top? I am hoping this is for a role and a rich brunette look will be back shortly.
