Who: Model Jessica Stam
Where: At the 2012 Met Gala in New York
Wearing: An embroidered pale blue silk wool crepe evening jacket worn with pale blue georgette and chiffon evening skirt from Christian Dior Haute Couture autumn/winter 2006 collection, teamed with stacked bracelets and earrings from Lorraine Schwartz
Verdict: This is haute couture at its very best isn’t it, and one of John Galliano’s very best, it is simply exquisite with all the detailing to the jacket, and is one hell of a statement piece. I do think that only a model could pull off this look well and I love the icy-blue colouring against her skintone as well as against the gold embroidery.
This look blew me away and was one of the best last night, I think it is the intricate detailing, the fact that it isn’t a gown, and the pale colour, plus Jessica’s elegant pose – that makes it one striking look and one of my favourites.
Do you like this Dior outfit as much as me?
