Yesterday I got the chance to finally check out the Olivia Rubin for Dorothy Perkins collection, which I have been dying to see since I found out about the collaboration at the brand’s spring/summer press day last year, and OMG I love it all.
This is one beautifully executed designer high street collaboration, not only is it instantly recognisable as Olivia Rubin with the fun prints, the sexy silhouettes of the dresses and tops with peplums and wrap details, the funky separates with key-hole detailing and cut-outs, and the gorgeous bright pink hues that Olivia is known for, but it has a Dorothy Perkins feel to it with the flattering designs and most importantly the affordable prices, as nothing in the collection costs more than £50, which is seriously amazing when you see some of the dresses.
Inspired by memories of her travels, this debut high street collection for DP entitled ‘A Postcard From’ is basically all about summer fun, and with more than 20 pieces in the collection there really is something for everyone, from: the gorgeous high-end bird print chiffon maxi dresses in either a hot Barbie pink or a soft grey for £45, or how about a shell printed peplum top for £25 that is supper flatter and is so on trend right now, and then there is the awesome beach inspired statement jewellery with shell earrings, bracelets and necklaces, which starts at just £7.50.
Oh and nearly forgot this collection also includes Olivia’s first foray into swimwear with the cutest gold shell print bikini and an uber-flattering swimsuit that I need for summer.
I can’t express enough how much I loved each and every piece, I have to say this is one gorgeous collection that when it comes out next Tuesday I can envisage selling out pretty quickly.

So if you like it as much as I do, get yourself down to one of DP’s top 25 stores from Tuesday, April 24 – think London – Stratford, Marble Arch, Victoria, Westfield, and West One; Manchester Arndale and Trafford Centre; Birmingham High Street; Bluewater; Lakeside; as well as Belfast, Dublin, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow, Sheffield, Gateshead, Newcastle, Portsmouth, and Southampton.
Need more convincing that this is a fab collection? Well prices start at just £7.50 and the highest priced item is £49 for a bird print peplum dress. Plus the sizes range from 8-18. Be quick as once it is gone it is gone, this is a strictly limited edition collection, which will be coming back for autumn/winter – yeah!!!
