Who: Chloë Sevigny
Where: At the New Museum’s 35th Anniversary Spring Gala in New York City earlier this month
Wearing: An all-white tailored look from BLK DNM, featuring the label’s Blazer 1, a single-button blazer with sharp shoulders, and the Tux Pant 6, which has a slouchy silhouette to them. Finishing off her look is an Olympia Le-Tan ‘Moby Dick’ book clutch and grey heels.
Verdict: I am a big fan of Chloë Sevigny’s quirky style, whether it is a puff-hem gown worn to the Met Gala or a slick Yves Saint Laurent black jumpsuit to the Metropolitan Opera Gala premiere, I love that you can never predict what she will wear, except maybe that it will be bold and directional.
I am loving this sharp tailored look on her, not only is the tailoring the right mix of masculine in the cut, it also has a feminine touch with the all-white colouring, teamed with a kick-arse clutch and a slash of coral lipstick – for me this is another daring style choice that totally worked.
I also love the fact that she resisted the opportunity to team her all-white look with a flash of colour in her accessories, the neutral book clutch and the grey block heels seemed to work perfectly, which normally I wouldn’t say but because it is Chloë I think a pop of pink for instant wouldn’t have made as much of an impact.
What do you think – are you loving Chloë’s sharp suit?
