My Style: A Coral Beauty From Warehouse With Thomas Sabo

March 6, 2012

At the weekend I was official declared a god parent to the beautiful Sebbie, and I decided to go for a dress that would be suitable chic, responsible, as well as reflective of my personality and need for colour. I have to admit the crazy weather of one minute being like spring to the next being freezing cold did play with my decisions a lot but I finally found this gorgeous coral flared dress from Warehouse.

I have to admit I haven’t shopped that much in Warehouse over the past few seasons but I have been so impressed with the new collection that I couldn’t resist this super flattering dress. Not only was it reasonably priced at £60, which is pretty good considering the exquisite tailoring, lining, and accompanying belt it comes with, but best of all it isn’t too short, which has been my biggest problem on this Christening dress hunt.

This dress is perfect for the spring/summer with its beige belt  and I had planned to wear with nude peep-toe heels, but for the wintry/rainy Sunday I decided to opt for black accessories, so I change out the belt for a black one so I could team with tights, a three-quarter blazer from New Look, and I even brought out my pointed toe laser-cut heels out of retirement, well that was until I got covered in mud so the trusty patent Russell & Bromley brogues came out!!!

My Style Details:

Jewellery plays a big part in most of my outfits, especially in this one as I didn’t seem to take a bag, and I decided to wear my favourite pieces – my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet and my half-butterfly Swarovski crystallised necklace.

I have more than 10 Thomas Sabo charms that Paulie picks up for me regularly for my birthday, our anniversary and Christmas, and I have to admit I always find it hard to choose which ones to include. In the end I settled for a mix of classic, new, and oh so cute – with my first ever charms of the pink crystal heart and elephant, my latest charms being the panda and moo cow, and two of my favourites have to be the Eiffel tower and my Barbie head silhouette heart.

**Thanks to my good friend Sarah for taking my action shots in the brief moment that the rain stopped, as Sarah put it adding the balloons and motion was very Sex and the City, and I quite agree – so pleased with how the shots came out.**

  • First up can we please give some love to my mum for this fab picture - isn't it great how do I fire the Insta-husband?
...
Also, hands up who's had a lovely sunny day? Mum and I have had a fab one filled with culture two exhibitions including the new Monet one at The National Gallery that I would definitely recommend and yummy food I treated her to the fabulousness of By Chloe and she loved it - I'm an addict for their guac burger.
...
Then after all that fun we enjoyed the evening sunshine with Falcon on his favourite walk - now off for more food - I can't remember when I've had a better hump day!
  • Spent the day running between press days, check out my stories for a sneak peek at what Boden has coming up for AW18, doing boring errands, trying to transcribe a really difficult interview the designer has a strong accent, and a crazy stack of admin that I sadly can no longer ignore. But hey at least we had sunshine!
...
So kisses with this cutie when I came home was much needed.
...
Hope you guys had a great day in the sun.
  • Anyone checked the weather like ten times in disbelieve that we actually have sunshine and its only going to get better - like 26 on Thursday in April is amazing and I'm so ready for a little warmth after that never-ending winter.
...
Also, sunshine means I get to wear all my favourite sunglasses - I love how fun these Swatch beauties are.
...
How are you enjoying this gorgeous weather?
  • With this gorgeous spring weather we are enjoying it is only right to embrace it - so for our Sunday afternoon I wore my new bright yellow skirt.
...
Not dog walking friendly - Falcon did try to put his muddy paws over me, but I'm kind of addicted to yellow. There's something about wearing sunshine tones that just makes everything better and this is a beauty of a skirt from @asos I'm loving the button details.

  • Weekends are for treats right? Headed to our favourite burger joint in Rye for lunch @hoof_rye - this place not only does great burgers, sweet potato fries and onion rings but also a monster freakshake that each time I'm too stuffed to try.
...
Afterwards we wandered around Rye, it never gets old I love this town, looked in a few antique shops in the hope that something dreamy would be there, sadly nothing really spoke to me.
...
Then we headed home for a lovely countryside walk with Falcon and saw lots of cutie lambs - not going to lie I could get used to this gorgeous sunshine.

How's your Saturday going?
  • Today was a good Friday. I got to interview @rails founder @thejeffabrams who was super lovely and it was inspirational to hear how he launched his successful global brand. I also fell hard for his great shirts and the very Instagramable customised denim jacket, see my Instastories to see what I mean. I've already been on the Rails website and they have a picture of it with Danielle on the back - means it's fate right?
...
Then I got to hangout with the @fashercise girls at their new shop and see their fab collection - you have to see their new trainers so dreamy.
...
Then for date night with the hubbie we went for a long dog walk - yeah to lighter nights - and now I'm eating fish and chips. Seriously such a good day.
  • Been stuck at my desk all day, trying and failing to write up an interview I did, I always tell myself to transcribe interviews as soon as I can and I never do and then find myself not even understanding what I'm asking - does this happen to anyone else?
...
So, I ran out of time to shoot some content so I'm throwing back to this @cathkidston_ltd x Disney look that I adore - anytime I get dressed up as Minnie Mouse I'm happy.
...
Plus, I wanted to shared with you that CK are having a major sale on the current Disney collection - so many pieces less than half price - I've added them on my @liketoknow.it so make sure you follow me on the app and screenshot this pic to easily buy. http://liketk.it/2vlT2 #liketkit
  • Spent the afternoon dreaming of Paris and searching for @Eurostar deals for my birthday. It really is one of my favourite places that I really don't visit enough considering it is so close.
...
I found this picture in my Paris album and I can't believe I didn't post it - maybe it was because one of me gracing you feed is bad enough, two is just a little cruel to you guys - but hey there's something about reflections that I just love.
...
Also, any Paris recommendations send them my way as I do love the planning of a trip as much as going on it.
