Winter Wonderland: Toasty Warm In My Ewe Wellies

I am a lover of snow, I have to confess even with all the disruption it brings – it makes me feel like a child again, and come on does another weather phenomena other than a rainbow look as  pretty?

So far this winter we have only had a light dusting  of snow, which has been very disappointing, but this weekend more than 10cms fell in my garden and I just couldn’t wait to get out there in my new Ewe wellington boots.

These aren’t just any old wellies, these beauties are lined with 100% Merino wool, so no more thick socks or those wellie liners that never quite fit properly – these boots have it all built-in. I am a lover of furry sheepskin-lining, whether it is Mou, EMU Australia or UGG Australia I have seriously tried them all, but I have to give it to Ewe using Merino wool is genius – so soft, so cosy, and makes wearing wellingtons actually comfortable – oh and the grip on them is amazing – perfect for negotiating the snow and ice.

This is a fairly new brand but I can see them doing really well over the cold snap and during the festival season especially as they have a great range of colours: I of course had to go for the girlie Cranberry, but they also come in classic Fern green for the country lovers, Onyx black perfect to wear into work on bad weather days, French grey, and Caramel white.

There are a little more pricey than the original Hunter boots, which retail around the £100 mark, these luxurious wellies are more around the Ugg price point at £160 – but if you wear wellies a lot, say to walk the dog or take to festivals each year then think of the Ewe boots as an investment. I can guarantee you won’t have worn a more cosy pair of wellies – the soft lining really does make them a joy to wear.

**Quick disclaimer: I was generously gifted my wellies from Ewe – but all opinions are my own, I only write what I feel**
