Who: Glee’s Lea Michele
Where: At the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles
Wearing: A one-shoulder dusky grey silk-chiffon Atelier Versace gown with a side-split and train, teamed with grey heels and silver clutch
Verdict: This was a great improvement on the Marchesa gown she wore to the Golden Globes, but even though I love the dress – especially if it was worn by someone like Jennifer Lopez or Angelina Jolie, I still think that Lea is trying too hard to be sexy. Maybe this award season she has a new team, or maybe her agent/manager/publicist are trying to push her in another direction than family friendly Glee, but something isn’t connecting with me. Don’t get me wrong Lea is gorgeous, I would just like a dress that is more age-appropriate than overly sexy – plenty of time for that.
