I do like an awards shindig, not only for the red carpet action, but with the MTV VMAs and EMAs the collaborations, and it seems this year MTV are going all out to celebrate Britney bitch, and I don’t know about you but I am super excited.
Britney Spears is up for two nominations this year: Best Pop Video and Best Choreography for her ‘Till the World Ends’ hit, and it seems that due to the pop princess previous 28 nominations and four wins, this year’s MTV VMAs will include an amazing tribute to her.
According to reports on MTV, director Jahai Brightly is working on a concept called ‘The Muse Factory’, where the stars of the VMAs discuss who inspired them, and this is present in Brit’s 30-second promo as she pays homage to her icons Madonna, Michael and Janet Jackson.
I love the attention to detail in the setting as there is even a Billy Jean poster, and finishes with Britney standing in front of a wall which reads, ‘A Tribute to Britney Spears’ before the date of the awards flashes up.
Other reports on the internet have suggested that other artists will perform Britney’s hits on the night, including ‘…Baby, One More Time’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Slave 4 U’, before Britney herself takes to the stage to perform ‘Hold It Against Me’. I know for some they won’t feel that Britney is an icon or even worthy of a tribute, but I totally disagree and can’t wait to see this.
Also how hot is Britney looking, she looks incredible in cropped Levi’s shorts teamed with a vintage Helmut Lang t-shirt, and that amazing white studded Olima Atelier leather jacket over the top. Smoking!!!
The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be live in American on August 28, I am not sure the air date for the UK, we will probably have to wait a few days.
