I can’t remember the last time I went to Brighton but I do wish I was able to get down there this weekend as Oxfam Hove are hosting a weekend vintage event, June 4-5.
The charity shop on Blatchington Road, will be transformed into ‘an Aladdin’s cave of vintage and retro’, sounds amazing. The rails will be filled with timeless wonders such as 50’s handbags, summer dresses, sunglasses, and linen, as well as antiquarian books, vintage furniture, 50’s picnic hampers, and stunning crockery sets! Seriously sounds amazing, and don’t worry if you can’t make it on the Saturday as all stock will be replenished in time for the Sunday opening.
“Keep your eyes peeled! The quality of vintage fabrics and patterns means that the colours always seem richer than today’s prints. With vintage, there will more often than not, be just one of anything, so you know that your final purchase will really be unique.” Amanda, Oxfam Hove Store Manager.
So, if you love vintage finds, are lucky enough to be in the area, or fancy a day trip this weekend, then head on over to Oxfam Hove, I only wish I could!!
