H&M’s designer collaborations keep on getting better, for the autumn 2011 hook-up they have managed to snag Italian fashion house Versace. Yep, you read right Versace’s creative director Donatella Versace is designing an exclusive collection that will look back to the ‘vibrant heritage of the brand’, yep you guessed it full of leather, prints, colour and oozing luxury but at fantastic H&M prices. I think I just squealed out loud!!
“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” says Donatella Versace.
I can see people queuing up now in preparation and I think this will be the most popular of all the designer collaborations, especially as it will include women, men and selected pieces for the home. Sounds amazing, and if that dress above, which Donatella wore to the Versace men’s fashion show is anything to go by I am going to have get my elbows ready!!!
The collection will hit H&M stores on November 17, yes type it into your smartphones ASAP, in around 300 stores worldwide, as well as online, hopefully better than last time around. There is also another bonus as the H&M x Versace line will also include a pre-spring collection that will hit H&M online from January 19, 2012.
How do you think this Versace collection will hold up against the previous collaborations from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo and, most recently, Lanvin??
