Lauren Conrad has been busy since she left The Hill: she has become a best-selling novelist, a style icon, fashion designer first with her own line, then with Kohls and now with her friends via her new project Paper Crown, oh and did I mention she also set up her new beauty blog this week, The Beauty Department.
I make no secret that I loved The Hills and LC, but I am seriously loving her debut autumn/winter 2011 collection for her new label, Paper Crown.
Granted, they aren’t the most original of designs, but Lauren Conrad has delivered her modern take on classic style, and generally speaking a very commercial contemporary line with lots of pieces that I love. The collection is composed of ultra romantic maxis, chic cocktail attire; menswear inspired pieces and tailored basics. I have fallen in love with the feminine charm of the line, especially the floaty maxi’s, and I adore the styling of this lookbook, elegant, youthful and playful.
No word yet on stockist, or whether it will even come across the pond, but I have to have this maxi skirt and jacket – gorgeous and chic.
