Where: At the 68th Golden Globe Awards
Wearing: A long sleeve, floor skimming nude crepon print ruched crescent Burberry gown with thigh high split from the pre-fall 2011 collection finished off with a gold Louis Vuitton minaudiere and Jimmy Choo Zafira heels
Verdict: Well I said in my Burberry pre-fall 2011 blog earlier this month that I would like to see Leighton in this collection, and she did just that, I admit I choose out the navy blue dress but this one featured in the post as well.
Long sleeve trend certainly ruled this Golden Globes, but what I like about Leighton’s choice is that it was unexpected, there are no sequins, cyrstal embellishments or even a princess moment with ruffles, just an exquistly crafted gown with a subtle print.
This is why I love Leighton’s red carpet style, she has a refreshing elegance about her where she really can pull off anything she wants. I love this dress mainly because of the print to be honest, but also the detailing to the shoulders, then we have those sparkly heels which I adore.
I know many won’t agree and say this dress is more premiere than awards but I love it and it definitely is one of my top 5 looks of the night.[Pic: via Burberry Twitpic]
