Emma Watson is quick becoming my latest style crush, still slightly behind the Gossip Girl actresses Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, but with her amazing wardrobe promoting the latest Harry Potter instalment she could soon be knocking them off the top.
Where: the world premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 held at The Odeon Leicester in London
Wearing: Emma chose a vintage Rafael Lopez black lace dress with a feather skirt finished off with black Charlotte Olympia ‘Esmerelda’ heels and Poppy
Verdict: This is a gorgeous, statement frock, and I am so pleased that Emma went for it in London. This outfit is a coming of age dress if ever there was one, and Emma is certainly not a girl anymore, this is sexy and glamorous and she totally deserves all the attention. I also think this is a great dress for her pixie cut – she looks super cute and it really working it.
New York Premiere:
Wearing: A custom black double silk satin halter dress from the Calvin Klein Collection teamed with Calvin Klein black anklet heels from the SS11 line, finished off with an amazing gold floral bracelet and hair jewel
Verdict: This is a very minimal dress which a lot of celebs have been pulling off from this collection, including Diane Kruger and Gwyneth Paltrow, but it doesn’t quite work for me on Emma. Maybe, it is because of their age that helps them work the Calvin Klein charm, but Emma just looks a little bland. Admittedly, she still looks gorgeous – I was just hoping for a lot more that is all.
I am glad that she tried to wow up this outfit with some statement jewellery. I absolutely love the floral bracelet and the jewelled hair piece is a cute touch.
It would be a promotional tour for Emma without getting out her favourite designer Burberry. As face of the brand she obviously has the pick of the best trench coats and she has certainly showcased the brand’s most famous item on her travels.
I love the navy military style trench, similar to my River Island one and the one that Victoria Beckham has been recently spotted in, but the beige trench with gold studded sleeves is amazing. An edgy coat for a seriously cool style queen – and works perfectly with her studded Burberry Knight handbag.
With just London and New York currently ticked off on the Harry Potter tour for Emma, I can’t wait to see what else she has install for us, she really has been a picture of perfection.
