Cynthia Rowley opened her spring/summer 2011 collection with a simply-yet-sexy light grey shift dress with circular cut-out detailing to the bust and falling just below the knee.
Setting the vibe before the show started with sixites music it was not surprising then to the 1960s silhouette throughout with sleek shifts, polka dots, laser cut detailing, sheer panels, geometric shapes, striped knits, cabochon features on the skirts, slim trousers and candy colours.
One of my favourite pieces had to be this white satin dress with shiny bauble cabochons embellishments in pastel shades teamed with slicked back hair and bright red lippy – super cute.
This collection also saw the continuation of the socks and heels look, with most outfits going down the runway with floral and geometric patterned sandals with ankle wraps and sheer socks. What I can say about this line from Cynthia is that it is one of the most wearable collections I have seen this New York Fashion Week, I loved the 60s influence and I surprisingly love the hole-punch detailing.
