Britain’s First Lady aka the Prime Minister’s wife, Sarah Brown, joined supermodels Naomi Campbell, Erin O’Connor, Yasmin Le Bon and Sheila Atim as she helped launch the forthcoming Fashion For Relief event at Somerset House.
The fundraising event will be taking centre stage once again for 2010 by opening London Fashion Week on the evening of February 18 with all funds benefiting the White Ribbon Alliance, which Sarah is a patron and Naomi an ambassador.
Naomi said, “I feel so privileged to once again be working with Sarah Brown and the White Ribbon Alliance on Fashion For Relief for 2010. I intend to use this opportunity to bring to the forefront of people’s minds the struggle women around the world experience everyday giving birth – this is something we have the knowledge of how to prevent, I was to make the difference globally. Fashion for Relief 2010 is going to be a spectacular event and a great opportunity to raise much needed funds for this cause.”
Previous events have seen Cheryl Cole make her runway in 2008 and guests including Tyson Beckford, Ronan Keating, Princesses Eugene and Beatrice, Cilla Black, Vivienne Westwood and Elizabeth Jagger have all supported the charity show.
How close do Sarah and Naomi look? An unlikely match as friends but it is obviously a good match.
Also Naomi doesn’t look like she turns 40 this year!!
